ABB "on this day" research

Hey there sweet family, every day I research what happened "on this day" with the ABB hoping to find information to add to the Live Show Database. Sometimes nothing turns up. Sometimes it does. Thought I'd create and use this forum to occasionally share some of what we've found in addition to adding it to the Database.
Kicking it off ... On August 4, 1979 the Allman Brothers Band made their debut performance at Red Rocks.
On August 4, 1972 the Allman Brothers Band played 2 shows at the Community Theatre in Berkeley, CA. Their contract rider requested 4 cases of beer (either one of the following and/or a combination of the following: Budweiser, Pabst Blue Ribbon and/or Coors), 1 case of wine, 1 case of soft drinks, crushed ice and container for the same, ample 12-oz. beverage cups, snacks for 15 people.

Can't lose with PBR!!

PBR. That's the shit that killed my daddy.

Hey there sweet family, on Sept. 11, 1971 the Allman Brothers Band played at the Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, SC. There's a link to a review of the show, which includes a photo of Duane, Jaimoe and Dickey, in the ABBase. (Shows, LiveShow Database)

Hey there sweet family, on 09/21/1980 the Allman Brothers Band played at Den Haag in the Netherlands. There some great photos of the show in the ABBase. To see them click on "Shows" above, go to the Live Show Database and type 09 21 1980 in the Month Day Year boxes.

On this day in 2004 the Allman Brothers Band played the first of three nights at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Several photos and a great review of the show are right here on the site: https://allmanbrothersband.com/event/abb20040924/ Enjoy!

On this day in 2004 the Allman Brothers Band played the final show of their 3 show run at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. However, early that morning something beautiful happened. Josh Chasin wrote, "For the select few of us who were able to drag our happy but over-extended butts out of bed early enough, Sunday began with a 9 AM prayer circle led by Lana and Oteil, in a square on the roof of the Georgian Terrace hotel. Beautiful blue Georgia sky above, the Atlanta skyline all around, the city still, a brisk but gentle breeze hinting at the Indian summer day that was ahead. Cleansing, redemptive, and non-denominational. People can you feel it, love is everywhere. Say amen, brother Oteil."

On this day in 1973 the Allman Brothers Band played their one and only date in Hawaii - at the HIC Arena in Honolulu.

It was September in 1973 when I left home to go to University and met a guy in the student residence who introduced me to the Allman Brothers Band ... can't be sure of the exact date, but it would be around this time that I was listening to Brothers and Sisters for the very first time ... and very shortly afterwards I would be buying a copy of that and all of their previous albums!
