Tonight's Warren show was at another level. Instrumental Illness > Machine Gun > Instrumental Illness re-defined the Allman Brothers' instrumental. Across the stage the players stood stalwart jamming like a musical infield during the playoffs. The positions were: mandolin, electric banjo, Warren, bass, and fiddle all taking direction from Warren. Each player taking a spot and riding hard.

I knew when Warren opened with Tough Mama, a Dylan tune covered by Garcia's Legion of Mary that the night was going to go deep and it did.

The venue was only half sold so I really felt like I was in on a secret. A great, magical tour that people will talk about for years.
