So, now that they are ending the NSA's spying program on Americans (we know they really are not going to stop). I can see the next "terrorist" attack being blamed on Rand for dismantling the program. It is the perfect set up. They will blame him for it and end his chances for POTUS. Then they will denounce all that stand in the way as unpatriotic and then ramp up their programs once again.
Of course, I could be wrong?
