doh i should read here before starting a thread......LOL

what if there were some alleged shenanigans in the election? trump immediately files 100's of lawsuits and clinton the same. different appeals courts have conflicting rulings.....goes to 4-4 supreme court. would obama remain president? would biden with ryan as vice pres? what would happen? maybe the lawsuits don't all get resolved before the transfer of power? what happens?

ok, carry on.

Markets don't like uncertainty, and it goes w/out saying that Trump is uncertainty personified. A Trump win would not be a winner for your portfolio.

Others have pointed to similar results. Google it up.

I did hear the markets would go down 10-15% with a Trump victory, but I think that would be temporary until he shows he can help the economy and builds a positive image with world leaders.

Gina,

What's the perception of the great Donald Trump by world leaders currently? He's a walking & talking catalyst for a calamity.

Agreed. World leaders have no use for Trump. And the market would collapse under Trump's financial plans.

In case you haven't noticed, the economy has rebounded.

Fear mongering at it's worst, talking about some kind of Global market meltdown. If you have any experience or knowledge of stock market investing, you know that a 10-15% bear or harsh correction is something that happens from time to time, regardless of an election result.

If the election of Trump caused a 15% slide, bring it on. That's a gift of a buying opportunity! A correction is possible at practically any time, but contending that the World markets would CRASH as the result of a Trump victory is absurd.

Props for cutting through the BS and being reasonable, Gina.

No, it is absurd. The global market crashes if the American economy collapses. We are he single largest purchasers of goods. A world wide financial collapse would occur if Americans stop buying goods. There is a difference between a correction and a collapse. Like I said before, you would not be buying low, you would be trying to feed your family.

Maybe the Saudis secretly like Trump. They have 750 MILLION dollars invested in our stock exchange. One thing I read today is a reporter did an article on stocks in Trump's portfolio, one of them was Exxon Mobil. The Saudis are invested there too.
