Heed the weather warnings for today and tonight. Tornadoes, high winds etc for the South all the way up to Richmond, Virginia. High winds as in 80 mph [which is Cat 1 hurricane strength].
Seriously stay home.
Already advising those in mobile homes to NOT Shelter in Place in their mobile homes tonight. Winds will be violent enough to blow them over. Told to find friends, family, or a hotel room to spend tonight.
Expect wind damage, heavy rain, and slight possibility of hail and tornadoes.
I've got my weather alert radio (the alarm sound will really, really, really wake you up) next to the bed, phones charged, laptops charged, gas cans filled up, cash on hand, and chainsaws gassed up.

So far tonight three tornadoes in the north west corner of Ga. Atlanta should get hit in about 90 minutes.
Macon and Byron in about 2-3 hours.
Already got one weather alert on the radio.

Powerful system leaving 18 dead in 4 states - best wishes

The remnants of the storm heading up I-95 today. Wind and rain. Winds can gust to 65 or 70 over parts of Long Island in the afternoon. But this is not all. You really cannot bear what will come this year. We will have meteor showers some next week actually4/21 and 4/22.
As time goes on in the summer people will realize something is wrong. Some of the meteors will just explode in the air, yellow orange flashes of light. Others will come in and hit things on the ground anytime, anywhere. At 40,000 miles per hour they will do damage. There are videos of one that hit Nigeria left a huge crater, the meteorite was the size of your hand. Don't collect them. They have arsenic in between the ice and the rock.
More later.

Tired of the rainy weather. Fortunately, the sun's broken through. Supposed to be upper 70s by the middle of the week.
Hope everyone that was in harm's way yesterday from the tornadoes is okay.

Decimated by tornadoes a week ago, Monroe, La is bracing for more severe weather under another tornado watch
Widespread flooding after godawful weather walloped Alabama w/2-7 inches of rain
Mother Nature deals a powerful hand, especially in that region - can’t imagine what those people are going thru

Got a ton of admiration & respect for the resilience of people who withstand the incredible weather in the southeast - 3rd massive deadly storm there in the last two weeks today - all the way from Texas to GA
Incredible reports from Madill, Okla - a motorist got caught in a twister; his body was found in the median, his car in a nearby field
also, the body of a workplace employee where work was just letting out when the storms hit, was found a quarter of a mile away, article said - miraculously they are two of just seven known fatalities so far
There’s video up - hopefully weather will never get too much worse than that

Beautiful here in little rhody today. Sunny 60.
Rain on my bday this Friday. Bummer.
Some real nice weather coming after that.
Finally.

God is cleaning your car for you on your birthday, and watering the plants and flowers and making crops grow. Be thankful.
Violent weather coming in the late summer and fall. Wind and storms.

SPACE STUFF
comet coming by.
https://www.space.com/interstellar-comet-borisov-perihelion-telescope-viewing.htmlA prophecist (who is also a scientist) said MAY 12th things would change on this earth and much that is hidden now will be very apparent, with disruption to our government. So apparently the impeachment thing is not going away.
Halley’s Comet will be visible in the night sky this week
Yep the impeachment thing did not go away, it left us standing at the crossroads between Covid 19 doom & economic doom
May 12 could indeed tell a lot - are we approaching the end of times etc
Blizzards, tornadoes, hail, damaging wind - several states in the path of severe weather overnight & Tuesday - it flattened parts of Kansas & Missouri today - 11 inches of snow in the Hawkeye State, Iowa - elsewhere too - bad
[Edited on 5/4/2020 by Stephen]

No snow for Little Rhody. Parts North and west, yep snow in May. Henry says this should be it for the northeast.
The summer is supposed to bring straight line winds [that 60, 70 mph plus stuff] with rain and be hot. Four Atlantic Basin major hurricanes. We have two seasons, winter and other which is everything else.
There are 72 haarp stations all over the world. Weather manipulation and climate crisis, not global warming anymore, it is now climate crisis. CERN has one month, then it's doom-nation. Serious stuff going on.
Did you know there is water beneath the ocean floor? Fresh water. The cosmic-rays [radiation] coming in is heating the core of the planet, that heats the fresh water and the pressure created causes vents to open in the oceans, that's why dead fish are coming up. They are being boiled alive. The fresh water comes up as steam goes in the atmosphere changes weather patterns, decreases salinity in the oceans. Storms are more severe, jet stream is effected etc.
The great minds are working on all of it but I don't think there's an Einstein or a Tesla in the groups anymore so we'll have to wait and see what happens. They come up with things like cow farts cause global warming. Maybe they should stop feeding cows GMO [genetically modified corn] even they can't stomach it.

"There is water beneath the ocean floor".
...and back in the early '80's David Byrne wrote and sang; " remove the water from the bottom of the ocean!"
Of course, his implication was that some things are nonsense or futile but...maybe he was on to something. He was at the time, way ahead of the curve.

The ocean is a desert with its life underground and a perfect disguise above
Spring is beautifully disguised as winter right now
Just a cryin shame some six weeks of what would’ve been Monster spring skiing went away

The storm in the ocean will not hit Florida. It will either go out to sea or head north. There is another storm and a front heading from the west. If the storm from the west merged with this other storm could be like a hurricane early next week. Lots of variables. There are gale force winds in the storm from the west and heavy rain.
5-21-20. Space debris could enter atmosphere and come in hitting somewhere or it might not.
6-5-20 at 5:45 pm eastern time 2 blobs of debris do come in passing thru our satellite belt. Where the hit on earth nobody knows but they are coming.
There was a fleet of UFO'S observed by the International Space Station on April 3rd heading towards earth. They were NOT warmongers, I think they were the benevolent ones coming to see what happened. Remember we were under nationwide quarantine, cities empty, no traffic. I think they were worried about us and came en masse to help out. They did not invade nor hurt anyone. So do not be afraid of all UFO'S or extra terrestrials. Some are evil some are NOT. Do not rush to panic or believe propaganda. I know they saved NY from Hurricane Sandy they moved the storm at a 90 degree angle so it hit hardest in the beaches in Jersey rather than here. I have seen some in the skies. I did not feel afraid. I would probably try to talk to them if I saw some of the terrestrials.

You go girl.
Gorgeous here in little rhody today. After work, gone fishin'.

That storm that did not go into Florida is heading north towards the Delmarva. The other storm from the west may hook up with it. Heavy rain and winds coming.
Asteroid coming by 5-21-20 let's hope it goes by as expected and does not hit us.

Latest Data from NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies:
It’s expected to approach earth’s orbit at 9:45 pm tmrw, May 21, coming within 93 million miles between earth and the sun
Scientists/astrologists have been observing it since Jan 16, 1997 - they say it measures 2,198 feet by almost a mile wide (4,921 feet) & is traveling at 26,127 miles per hour
Remarks - been nice knowin ya folks ( 😉 hehe)
others (w/The End playing in background 😮 :P:P
There are some smart people in this world
Unsure if visible, like a meteor shower or shooting star
Are we on the brink of extinc.......
mid sentence, Ka-BOOM..... 😛 -
w/fast-moving tsunami waves 100s upon 100s feet high paving the way for a new breed/the next species etc
Probability of a strike to earth or sun remote, also unknown

An asteroid the size of the empire state building comes by today. Effects the weather. Look for stronger earthquakes and. We've also had five comets up there at the same time. Those cause quakes.

gina, you haven't posted here in three weeks.
Slacker.
Been nice here in RI lately but kinda humid. I overwatered my marigolds, getting brown tips, but everything else doing great ( petunias, geraniums, herbs are smokin')
Can't believe it's almost July, summer flies by, winter lasts forever. Might have to make a move to FLA real soon.
Stay cool. And safe.

There is information on weather that will be coming and worse. Some of it overwhelming which is why I have been thinking about how when to share.
First the sub Saharan dust layer is strong this year. That limits hurricane formation potential. That's a great thing. However, the dust layer compresses the atmosphere pushing it down keeping stalled fronts locked in place. The rainy weather in the south will continue. The land can only absorb so much, then the mountains start to move from the overly wet dirt. Some areas will become inundated.
There will be tropical storm force winds that occur due to atmospheric compression. It is climate chaos and what is to come will be terrifying.
I redacted some other things that you will not be ready to deal with. They are not imminent in the next few months so I will hold that back for now.

North Carolina to get slammed with 6 inches of rain and winds up 39 mph.
Then it heads north, Long Island and metro NY can see 2 to 4 inches of rain Friday and
Piacere in Little Rhody 4 inches heading your way as it heads up to Portland Maine. It is over Portland Saturday night.
It should not become a Tropical Storm [winds 39 to 72] or worse so just deal with it for one day. If it reaches Tropical Depression strength it will be called Fay.

It BECAME a tropical storm. Got some scary weather warnings, they err on the side of caution and safety. When I read "emergency plans should include the potential for a few tornadoes", well that got my attention.
The winds can be all over the place 39 to 73. [74 is cat. 1 hurricane wind], then I read sustained 53 gusts to 67. The storm is 1005 mb. The QPF is 4 inches rain. The problem occurs at night [Fri. Here], the winds now are on the east side of the storm but tomorrow night, it transitions into a"barocyclinic storm" with the rain wrapping around the northwest side, more typical of winter storms.
Fortunately it seems to be a quick mover. So as the terror passes over us and heads to Piacere's home at least he can know by Saturday night it should be heading if not over Portland, Maine.
I know I am not ready for hurricane season.
UPDATE Fri.
Worst times for Long Island 5 pm and shortly after that and then 9 pm another swath of fury. This storm is big and will cover the entire state of New Jersey.
Also the 90's heat comes next week.

I'm a bit more concerned about Covid19 than I am about rain, though we're doing pretty good here. I can't understand at all why Texas, FLA., AZ, Ca., can't get their collective sh!t together, like distancing and wearing a mask is so difficult.
But yeah, my lawn won't mind a good soaking.

Probably difficult because they have an abundance of great looking women in those states. The Beach Boys wrote 'wish they all could be California girls', Florida has beachfuls of pretty women, and so does Texas, a lot more than the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders who are world renowned for their beauty. To expect men to social distance 6 feet away from pretty women? That's kind of tough. Especially young guys. It's also the culture in these places, very open, everybody is friendly.
If you had the Florida beaches and were told to stay home, quarantine people would tell you we have the ocean breezes to blow the virus away and the daily mini rain to wash any remain virus away. It's hard.
I could not believe what we have been thru and still go thru. If our pandemic started at the end of May we may not have been as successful as we have. Still it is an effort. You to have to mask everytime you are at a place, even the drive thru of a fast food restaurant, put that mask on. Going to the gas station, put that mask on. At work, wear a mask all day every day. In a store, we have little feet appliques on the floor to show you what 6 feet apart means, in dollar stores maybe it is just tape strip markings on the floor but you got to do this. We have had 3 months of practice so it is easier now, but still a hard transition for any people.
The rest of this country needs to realize it is a serious problem. They have not realized it yet.
[Edited on 7/10/2020 by gina]

65 mph winds now with Fay. Water spouts and tornadoes possible here on Long Island. It was over Asbury Park heading north. Latest thinking is it may go over NYC and more north than heading towards Rhode Island. It is big and has well defined banding. Vermont, New Hampshire even Canada will be effected.
🙁

While much of the country bakes in a heatwave, the plains subjected to 74 plus mph winds, hail, the south will get excessive rain that the ground cannot absorb. Also that tropical mass in the Gulf.
It's not even dog days yet. Dog days are in August.

I'm 2 storms ahead but east coast needs to watch Aug 1 to Aug 6th. I got a tip there may be a hurricane heading northbound.
Storm #1 Hannah goes towards Houston.
Storm #2 The one that becomes a hurricane tomorrow, Gonzalez will head into the Gulf, may turn into New Orleans area and Florida Panhandle.
It's going to be a long season.
