What Now?
So the FBI is re-opening the case against Hillary. Comey has obviously been embarrassed by the facts of his slipshod investigation that have emerged, and if rumors are correct, there's a revolt on within the FBI over the mishandling of her case and their tarnished reputation since. But even if none of that is true, the daily revelations about the activities of the Clintons have reached such a point where it demands attention, election or not.
The potential scenarios from here are truly interesting - and rather frightening for our country. If there's an Obama angle in the emerging emails - and its already been found that he was emailing to her private address under a nom de plume - it becomes really interesting.
If she loses, does Obama pardon her & Bill, because to investigate would reveal things damaging to his legacy?
If she wins, does she pardon herself to try and stop more details from leaking out?
If the polarization of the country was a concern before, it seems destined to reach levels beyond imagination in the not too distant future.
Much ado about nothing but the clownservatives have jumped all over.
These emails have nothing to do with Hillary. The more Fujirich posts, the more partisan he appears. But he s not a Republican. e doesn't have the guts to say it.
A partisan here? On the Whipping Post? Stop the presses!!!

A partisan who claims that he isn't, genius. Much like you try to act funny. Both of you fail. 😛

I didn't count the number of times you stated "if", but there seems to be quite a few.
How about this - What if Comey's actions lead to nothing new, and Trump ends up in the White House due to Comey's actions?
I need to read up on the Hatch Act. It's been many years since school days, but I'm wondering if there's anything violated by Comey.
One thing we do know is that Trump is taking Comey's words way out of concept, lying, and misleading his swallowers at his rallies - nothing new on that front.

Even if she is charged, indited, and found guilty of a crime there is nothing in the Constitution that would keep her from running for, or holding the office of President.
There are people almost every election cycle that run for president from prison cells.

Yes, he clearly violated the Hatch Act. The choices are 1) Obama fires him or 2) the DOJ OPR investigates and by the time that is completed - giving the benefit of the doubt to the defendant Comey as appropriate - we are well past 11/8. OR, now that the damage is done, he could resign and slink off into the swamp he came from.
OR, could be they found photos of Clinton "sexting" back to Weiner.
It's a crappy situation for all Americans that we're down to this. However, I think Republicans have a tough sell. If their only argument is that Hillary "is a corrupt liar", then they have failed miserably at making her unique. It basically means they have nothing, and they are saying that she is like all other politicians - not a great route to go in my opinion.
Furthermore, the right's outrage towards Hillary is beyond fake. I almost spit out my beer when I heard my Trump-supporting uncle get angry because "she is so corrupt" - this coming from a guy who evades his taxes from his self-employment. It's all B.S. - Republicans don't hate Hillary. They pretend to hate her to justify their support of Trump's racist rhetoric. To them, it sounds better to say they are voting for Trump because they hate Hillary, instead of just admitting they are a fan of his words. Talk about poor character.
To be honest, I think it's foolish for any American to rally behind a politician. They are all the same. They will lie to get elected, and once in office, they all do the same thing regardless of political affiliation. It's sad to see so many older Americans still being fooled into buying into this crap. I would expect it for young adults, but not middle-aged or older. Trump is not the KKK and Hillary is not a criminal. Let's all hold our horses and recognize the theater behind it all.

1. She's not like all other politicians. How many Presidential nominees have been under investigation by the FBI 10 days from the election? I think you would agree that's a little unique. Nor are "all other" politicians corrupt liars.
2. Speaking for myself, I've never been fond of Hillary Clinton, long before Trump ever became a political candidate. My support for Trump is based on his policy positions being much closer to my own, not solely on a dislike of Ms Clinton. Face it, had she not been married to Bill Clinton we wouldn't even know who she was. Do you think she could have ever gotten to this position on her own as just Hillary Rodham?
3. I agree that it's foolish to rally behind a politician. Presidents come and go and life goes on, the country rolls on... I don't agree that are all politicians are the same, however. There are good people on both sides.

The answer to your questions
1. Every single candidate under Herbert Hoover's FBI administration plus Trump. So that's 6 presidents plus their opponents in every election for 35+ years. Trump's ties to Russia are part of the investigation into the DNC hacking, but Comey hasn't rushed to disclose it to Congress. His office is merely leaking that info.
2., Hillary Rodham had far brighter career prospects and was already on the national stage before she married Clinton. She didn't become a politician until the end of her time as FLOTUS and ran for office. She left a great job in DC to put any career - never mind political - aspirations that her intellect allowed her to aspire to do nothing in Arkansas. For someone of her abilities and education, merely practicing law is a waste. Practicing in Arkansas is career assassination. She'd REALLY be nowhere if she'd stayed married to him and he hadn't managed to get himself elected gov.
3. Isn't a question, but agreed. We've survived presidents who no longer had mental capacity so presumably, the US can survive anything.

Trump is also the defendant in two civil suits about his fraud of a "university", has 11 (or is it 12 now) women (plus a then 13-year-old girl) accusing him of sexual assault or rape, has been accused time and again of hiding and destroying documents against court orders, and has been involved (as defendent and plaintiff) with over 4,000 lawsuits, 75 of which are currently open including the Trump U lawsuits already mentioned. You want to talk about "unique" legal issues for a POTUS candidate, well there you have it...Trump is Hillary on steroids* when it comes to legal trouble.
* from one of the articles linked above..."Wonder how that stacks up against Hillary Clinton? We found the former first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of State has been named in more than 900 lawsuits, mainly as a defendant. More than a third of those lawsuits were filed by federal prisoners, political activists or other citizens seeking redress from the government by suing a list of high-ranking officials.

The investigation is so weak, that after years of fruitless investigation, no one has even thought to name anything to possibly charge Clinton with.

I think she's unique in that she got caught.

She made the decision at a very young age to enter politics with him, and she's been very successful every step along the way. Let's give credit where credit is due. You need a brain and motivation to get where she is.

True. But we never seem to nominate them. Shame.

That wasn't the question. We know she made the decision to enter politics "with him."

Are you playing dumb or are you really this dumb? Sometimes its hard to tell with the snarkmeister.
The FBI is just covering their ass, because of all the hoohah.

I doubt that they have a way out at this point. I guess they could release what they have on Trump and Russia, but two wrongs don't make a right.
Comey has already testified there was no intent of criminal wrongdoing. unless there is an email that shows there was intent, this is an exercise in stupidity.

Channeling J Edgar Hoover - The use of secret information to wound public figures was one of Hoover's favorite sports. With Comey's recent actions, JEH is smiling.
