Trump Victory Tour
New lobbyist and political reforms will be forthcoming
HAHA, New Lobbyists? I thought that egomaniac was going to drain some swamp or something, oops, he lied again. Just bring in all of his billionaire buddies. He's an insider now, what a effing joke. One would think that someone as egotistical and narcissistic as Trump and his family would have thicker skin. These people are very insecure. The economy should be tanking by February, can't wait until China starts dumping bonds. War by April, the first hundred days are going to be a joy. Hell, he's already meddling in the middle east, someone should tell him he's not the president yet, oh wait, his cronies are too afraid to tell their dictator no, he might cry!! On twitter of course, he's good about hiding behind his keyboard. Enjoy your Plutocracy!!
The "drain the swamp" thing was one of many catch phrases of the day to appeal to the uniformed and believers that he'd actually do 1/4 of what he said he'd do w/out wrecking havoc. These are same people that will be left behind in spite of blind loyalty and a vote. Let us see how the steel workers and miners benefit from his actions.
Almost everyday we're seeing red flags from the guy who prefers to tweet over press conferences where he'd have to answer questions. Mind you, the questions he probably can't delve into substance and would make him look foolish and inept. His path of communication are tweets where he can hide behind a handful of words which are sometimes misleading or not reflecting what his handlers later are left to clean up. Is this what a world leader is...a tweet king?
Mule I'm not crying, just expressing my opinion, as do you. I just don't agree that greedy people should run our country , that's all. These people could give two !@#ts about "the common man" Like I said, enjoy your plutocracy. If you think being wealthy makes them successful or anyone for that matter, so be it.

Wealthy does make them successful and they will bring proven professional practices to a government crumbling under its own incompetence.
The left constantly refers to greed. So why are they so incompetent at managing a country?
It has nothing to the label greed. It is all about proving that the liberal amateurs have failed to help the people.
Need proof?
Ask the families of the thousands of dead black people killed in the cities run by Democrats.

It's small minded and stereotypical to automatically associate greed with wealth. Greed is a character flaw that cuts across all economic classes. There are plenty of greedy poor and middle class people as well.

I agree with the above statement. I work for wealthy people who are not greedy.

Agreed.
I have known many people, both wealthy and poor who give without asking for anything in return.
Peace to the People who share!
Kinda long but, w/the benefit of hindsight, this May 2013 article proves out -- Mr. Trump, In The Political Realm, was that average-joe outsider talking the plain talk that endeared him to the majority, as described in the last paragraph
The victory tour is over, & hopefully jubiliation is prevailing as we turn the corner into inauguration day, the swearing-in & the brave new world etc -- peace

Wanted: A ‘cloth coat’ Republican
By Jennifer Rubin May 2, 2013
So much of politics is about personality. In Ronald Reagan, the cheery conservative was the man for the moment in American politics. In 1992 it was Bill Clinton, a down-home Southern Democrat who felt our pain.
A common trait in many successful politicians, and especially for Republicans who are accused of looking out only for the rich, is that they can go anywhere in the country and relate to average people. Even Richard Nixon knew this. A friend mentioned the other day how effectively the Checkers speech (now mocked routinely) captured Nixon as the everyman, up against the rich and powerful:
"...That’s what we have and that’s what we owe. It isn’t very much but Pat and I have the satisfaction that every dime that we’ve got is honestly ours. I should say this — that Pat doesn’t have a mink coat. But she does have a respectable Republican cloth coat. And I always tell her that she’d look good in anything.”
Whether it is modest economic means (Nixon), a tough family life growing up (Reagan) or just being comfortable in one’s own skin (George W. Bush), the best Republican pols have always found a way to connect with voters and to convince them that they were “fighting for people like you.” Nixon was going to protect the honest middle class from violence in the streets and cultural decay. Reagan was going to protect their pocketbooks and look out for their safety (from communism). The current that runs through all of these winning candidates is the ability to run against type, to be one of us (the voters).
It is not a matter of ethnic or racial identity, but of voters’ ability to identify with the candidate, a sense of social familiarity. Is this the sort of person they know, who gets what voters are all about? Part of it is forgoing the usual political patter, but it is also about relating to voters the way they relate to neighbors, friends, co-workers.
No matter how much Republican activists swoon over ideology and no matter how think tankers praise the latest tax reform plan or idea for Medicare reform, these are not the things that win elections. What ultimately carries the day is a candidates’ plain-spoken appeal and voters’ conviction that the pol will look out for them.
Do the Republicans have a cloth-coat conservative who can relate to voters? They’ve got a few of them. If you want to know which Republican is going to succeed, don’t look for the slickest tax reform plan or the most intricate Obamacare alternative. And certainly don’t look for the guy quoting the Federalist Papers to blank-stares from voters. It’ll be the guy who can walk into any bar, relate to any voter and show how he’s going to stand with and for him or her.
