You missed the point as usually happens when people react on emotion. I am comparing "hate" in the connotation of being a verb. I am not attaching any noun to hate in any manner whatsoever. That personalizes it, which either takes away or increases the act of hating by an individual or group of people.

I don't condone what they do or represent either. People responding to their hate with more hate escalated the entire situation in North Carolina. That is the premise of my perspective on the issue.

In my past, a lot of years were wasted hating just about everything. It cost 5 years of my life behind bars in the California Department of Corrections. My hate was reciprocated with hate in return. It is a vicious cycle that always has the same conclusion in the end...More hate. I refuse to put any effort or time into hate, hating, and/or hatred. It is an awesome sense of freedom & peace.

In some things, I'd say you are absolutely correct. It is a waste of time, as far as I'm concerned to trip on stuff you have no control over. What is right to one person, may be wrong to another or visa/versa. Basically, you can only control your own choices and whether you are going to react or respond to situations & circumstances in your life. When you look at all perspectives & possibilities than just your own, the decision making process is way more simplified and beneficial all the way around.
I don't expect anybody to always agree with me, much less understand where I'm coming from.
You haven't walked in my shoes, nor me in yours. So there is the proverbial crux of the biscuit.

I have persevered through tons of hatred, violence, and generational distain for those of white decent just to bridge a gap between cultural & spiritual barriers because of a desire to play music with some very talented musicians. Every time we play, I deal with racism. Yet every time we play, some change their perception and are willing to take a different look at what is going on and see another possibility that differs from the way things have always seemed to be for them. It has been a life changing experience for a lot of people, myself included.

If you think it's B/S, that is your prerogative. I have no control over that. The motive behind conflict should be the focus. If you come at something in a certain manner in protest, there should be an expectation to have it reciprocated. When that happens, the reasoning behind the protest on either side becomes secondary to the conflict that became the conclusion.

I was referring to trying to abolish hate with hate. How you attach the judicial system to that just proves my point that some don't get it. Responding to hate with hate is more akin to street vigilantism than an individual being judged by a jury of their peers in a court of law.

To answer this question - the court of law makes it better. They made discrimination laws to make it illegal here in the USA.
Anyway, good people use their hate for good all the time. Some lawyers put away rapists and murderers because they are motivated by their hatred for violent people, and want to defeat them. Some people become cops for this same reason. Some people become doctors because of their hatred for cancer. Some people became entrepreneurs because of their hatred for living in poverty, creating jobs for people like you. And you are going to judge them negatively for that?

Actually legislation is not done in the court, the court interprets and upholds the law. Anyways, I don't get how you equate wronging a social injustice through legislation as hate. It is part of due process. Could you please elaborate, thank you.

In my opinion, a lawyer and police officer are obligated to keep emotion out of the equation. They lose objectivity and effectiveness. Justice in theory is blind. As far as hating cancer and poverty, those are things and not people. My point after all was trying to abolish hate with hate. How can cancer or poverty hate a doctor or entrepreneurs ? So you appear to making a really big stretch to prove a point.
