It's always good to learn things. Some say Schumer and Bernie Sanders want to crash the stock market because they want to stop the companies from re-purchasing shares of their own stock, but people even Warren Buffett do these things all the time so what's the problem?

Companies have several options with regard to the use of excess cash. They can (1) retain the funds in the company, (2) invest in the capital needed to grow the company, (3) make acquisitions, (4) pay out the excess cash in the form of dividends, or (5) repurchase shares from existing shareholders.

Ron Kirby - and Ireland

Comment: Interestingly on 9-11-01, there was an alternative stock market set up in Ireland, just in case someone blew up our stock exchange or it failed......

Yeah, even Warren Buffet does it and he's just a regular guy right? Sorry, I just got a chuckle out of how that sounded. I'm not surprised that Sanders came out with such a proposal, but was surprised that Schumer partnered on it.

Carry on with your conspiracies.

Every corporation has a contingency plan for losing important systems. My company had a copy of our customer/billing system set up on off-site computers in case of failure..... it's common sense.....

Well thanks for the education guys. I guess all businesses do have contingencies set up. I have never believed that the BIG corporations do not have inside info when they do their deals, after all they are into making money not speculating and just guessing which investiments will bring them wealth.
