So, Peter Fonda says crazy things about a child, Sony still moving forward to release his movie. Rosanne gets booted off TV criticizing the wrong side.

Thats HOLLYWOOD!

I’m no Trump fan but I just prefer to leave all children out of political criticism. His adult kids are worthy of it though.

You are right sckeys. Still, the Easy Rider's outburst was part of a national outcry, certainly vulgar yet better than if everyone said nothing, or made lame side comments shucking off blame, or wanted to debate about it next week, or silently supported it like certain folks here who are notably absent from the discussion.

I have to wonder at the motive behind an attempt to shift the spotlight to trivial bs like this in the face of an atrocity that is a national embarrassment.

Flashpoint. Trump and Sessions SMACKDOWN. America is great again.

Hmm, Peter probably should have kept that to himself.

I find it pretty typical that a Trumpkin would try to downplay what Roseanne said, comparing an African American to an ape is pretty much the epitome of a blatantly racist remark. Notice, the Trumpkins don’t care about disgusting bigoted comments aimed at African Americans but throw a tantrum when the Fürher is “attacked”.

So making a racist statement is A-ok but those poor snowflakes keep crying about getting smeared and vilified by the MSM.... People don’t dislike you because your’re a maverick and a patriot, unafriad to speak their mind, they dislike you because you’re an uneducated and or morally bankrupt human being who feels that they are better than someone because of their ethnicity.

Nazi comparisons and racism. Why does everything distill down to a race issue with you people. Fonda should also suffer more instead he offers the typical leftist apology escape hatch and all is well within the MSM and Hollywood. I personally do not think people should lose their livelihood over a tweet but to defend Fonda is splitting hairs.

goob - It's all top down racism. Starts with the racist, Donald Trump who is at the top of the heap; the guy you voted for and defend all the time.

Remember the famous escalator ride and his racist speech that kicked off his campaign, remember Charlottesville and his good people on both sides defense of white supremacists, and this week remember those brown children crossing the border looking for asylum yet being separated from their parents possibly to never see their parents again. Thank you, Donald for uniting the country.

Does that help you understand the answer to your question, goob?

MAGA one racist action after another by Trump, Stephen Miller, and Jeff Sessions.

You might notice that I'm not one around here that calls people racists, and I think much of the accusitions of people calling others racists is unfair, and I simply don't know people well enough to throw that term around. For example, just because someone doesn't like Obama, it certainly doesn't mean someone is a racist.

That said, there is certainly a lot of racism in America (certainly more than I thought there was just a few years ago), and Trump has brought the racists out into the sunlight. Suddenly many feel that "their guy" is in charge and their is no longer reason to keep their racism under wraps. It doesn't mean that all Trump supporters are racists, but it does mean that Trump supporters easily turn a blind eye to racists. All evidence leads me to believe Trump is very much a racist. He has done absolutely nothing to convince me otherwise.

Don't expect me to start calling people racists around here, but I do believe all Trump supporters, whether they think so or not, are enabling our racists president, and as a result racists are becoming enabled. I have no problem with the most obvious of these racists getting called out. It's their own fault.

"We should rip Barron Trump from his mother's arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles and see if mother will will stand up against the giant a--hole she is married to,"

Say anything contrary to the Left's agenda and that's right, you are a racist... But suggesting that a boy be ripped from his Mother's arms when no crime has been committed warrants all of these posts in defense?

It was evidently enough to alert the Secret Service and it was foul enough for Mr. Fonda to delete. It just makes me scratch my head when people of any standing feel it is OK to lower themselves to the level of those they despise. Pathetic.

I thought it was soon to thankfully be a thing of the past too. Unfortunately the Charleston church massacre here in SC changed all that. I was stupid enough to believe also that the confederate flag had become an “innocent symbol of rock n roll” and even played in a couple of bar bands years ago with it hanging on the stage. I feel terrible for that now.

For starters I didn't defend Fonda

How many reasons would you like for why it boils down to racism?
- you fail to see what's so bad about comparing a black person to a gorilla.
- you have candidate who would not condemn David Duke.
- you have a candidate who tries to dance around the fact a white nationalist mowed down pedestrians.
- you want to try Latinos like Japanese Americans in WW2 and round then all up.
-your candidates base is largely white Nationlists who want to "get back to the good old days" ya know, lynchings, segregation, owning people as livestock, fierce xenophobia, ya know all that good stuff

The fact you claim ignorance to all these things and ask why the Trunpkins get these labels kind of says it all.

In his mind, I guess it does.

Yeah, it was surely wrong to say the least. He was angry and lashed out....that makes you scratch your head? That's never happened to you? I think it makes him human, and if he's working with a company that parts ways with him because of it, so be it. That's democracy and capitalism working the way it's supposed to.

Me too, difference is I don't feel terrible - just gotta see it for what it was and move on. Instead of guilt use that energy to keep a strict reign on deep racist programming and call ourselves on it when it surfaces. Believe me it is there, and it is real poison if you pretend it isn't.

- you have candidate who would not condemn David Duke.
- you have a candidate who tries to dance around the fact a white nationalist mowed down pedestrians.
- you want to try Latinos like Japanese Americans in WW2 and round then all up.

Dont' forget:

- Pardon for Joe Araipo
- Accusing Obama of being a Muslim asking for his birth certificate (why?)
- Asking black people in America, "what have you got to lose", assuming black people don't have anything. “You’re living in poverty; your schools are no good; you have no jobs.” - thinking this is true is incredibly racist.
- Muslim travel ban
- Said a Mexican federal judge can't do his job because he's Mexican and must have a bias. “We’re building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, He is giving us very unfair rulings—rulings that people can’t even believe,” he said.
- NFL comments
- Native American slurs against Elizabeth Warren
- Sleep eyes slur for the Jewish politician
- Donald Trump kicked off his 2016 presidential bid by disparaging Mexican immigrants. “They are not our friend, believe me,” he said. “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
- Haitians “all have AIDS.”
- Nigerian immigrants wouldn’t ever “go back to their huts” in Africa.
- Trump called out a Gold Star Muslim family and insinuated that the mother wasn’t talking because she was Muslim. “If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me,” Trump said in an interview with ABC News in July.
- Before his career as a politician, Trump allegedly wouldn’t rent to black people back in the 1970s. This led to his company being sued twice by the Justice Department for discrimination.
- Trump retweeted an anti-Semitic meme.
- When Trump addressed the Republican Jewish Coalition in December 2015, he called himself “a negotiator like you folks,” which many people said brought up Jewish stereotypes.
- Trump once said, “Laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that,” according to John R. O’Donnell, author of the 1991 book Trumped!
- He retweeted false statistics about white homicide victims after a black activist was kicked and punched at one of Trump’s rallies in Alabama.

Well, no BIGV, talking about harming a child, is not what caused all of this. It's when Trump and his gang of criminal thugs actually started carrying out these horrible atrocities and crimes against the most vulnerable of our humanity, that this became a major crisis??? It was nothing more than an extortion attempt by the president to live up to his idiotic wall promise to his followers, which has already failed because he stated it would be fully funded by someone else which obviously ain't gonna happen. Very pathetic indeed!!! I think Fonda was ( crudely) pointing out that if the shoe were on the other foot, certainly Melania and the president would certainly take a different view point............Peace..........joe

Disagree. Cross the border illegally and you are subject to existing LAW. Cross the border at Port of Entry and you can ask for Sanctuary, it's a choice and the left has once again responded on pure emotion.

Fonda's comments are pathetic and are reflective of the ridiculous Hollywood people we have crowned as being relevant.

The issue is the existing law that Trump recently implemented, that previous administrations did not, and whether it's humane. Sounds like you don't understand what's going on.

it's a choice and the left has once again responded on pure emotion.

Says the guy who is reacting to some "pathetic" and "ridiculous" Hollywood actor's comments. You might be a liberal - You are intolerant of other views and now you are getting all emotional over an actor's tweet.

That's also free capitalism. As of now, it appears Sony doesn't see any financial risk, whereas ABC did with Roseanne. Why isn't there a conservative group working to stop the project? Sounds like you are irritated by freedom, and also the failures of the right.

I defended him.

The face value literal interpretations of Captain America's comment are ridiculous.

He wasn't threatening anyone, and was simply saying "how would you like it if this was being done to you? " If you can't see that you are blind.

He's a peaceful, intelligent, very cool cat.

Don't be baggin on the EZ Rider!

Haha, just when I had fully accepted that I'm an anonymous internet fringe wacko. I actually qualify. No appy polly logies me droogie. Fonda, Rosanne, they can all say whatever they want. If their business associates don't like it they can react in whatever manner they choose.

Looks like Trump admin is trying a feeble distracto-deflect psy-op , with inviting these people to the White House who had family killed by illegals - I guess the point is to show these illegal kids will grow up and kill us.
