I might end up viral on youtube as "irate man throws rocks at drones", basta*rds were buzzing me low as I was chilling outside this evening,, came to within fifteen feet at one point. Made sure the cam got a good footage of me flippin the double bird, then started throwing rocks. Probably good I didn't hit one, looks like the law rules in favor of the drones.

While checking up on the legalities, I did run across a schematic fir a drone jamming device, looked interesting.

12 ga. #4 would work well.

Highly illegal.

You don't own the airspace above your property.

FAA frowns heavily on discharging firearms at airborne vehicles and so does law enforcement.

True. I read up on the laws, drones are considered aircraft, and must abide by FAA rules. Buzzing people is highly illegal too. If the FAA finds your drone in violation it is a 27,500$ fine. The worst penalty that anyone has received for downing a drone is to pay for the damage.

I was into em when they first became reasonable in price. It’s dangerous and completely disrespectful to fly like that.

Dangerous disrespectful and a Class A felony by FAA rules Too close, those props could mess you up. Not at war with them though, I'm a gearhead, I get it. Just took me by surprise.

I may be wrong but I believe property owners have a right to privacy and ownership of airspace 100' directly above their property. I believe this is settled case law based upon a lawsuit several years ago. I could be wrong about the actual height but I'm certain property owners are entitled to ownership of a very limited amount of airspace.

So....If they're very low, toss some lead their way. 😛
