More signs that people who know business know that Trump will be a disaster to the economy.

No CEOs at Fortune 100 Companies Are Backing Donald Trump

But almost a third of them supported Republican nominee Mitt Romney in 2012
No chief executives at Fortune 100 companies have donated to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign through August, according to a new report.

According to a Wall Street Journal analysis of campaign donations, this is a drastic difference compared to the 2012 election, when the Journal reports that nearly a third of Fortune 100 CEOs supported the then Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

What’s more, 19 of the nation’s largest 100 companies gave to the other Republican candidates, including Go. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio, during this year’s primaries. But since Trump became the GOP’s nominee, a whopping 89 out of the 100 top CEOs have not supported either presidential candidate. The remaining 11 have backed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, the Journal reports.

this is not surprising. remember corporations want freedom to move jobs to Mexico without restrictions and run mom and pops out of business. Trump is a believer in the American worker and job protectionism.

Are you serious? Trump has moved all of his manufacturing out of the country and his refusal to pay small business for their work has pushed many of them out of business. Are you really this naive?

Ha, ha, you are comparing his business deals making trinkets and Chachkocke that he hawks before any desire for running for President with the likes of Ford and Nabisco moving to Mexico. He has made his position clear on these types of huge shifts in manufacturing to MExico. I believe he will make it more difficult to do this.

I am comparing what he says with what he does. If he won't manufacture in this country, how can you expect him to do anything that might hurt his profits? He is a huckster and intelligent people can see him for the fraud that he is. You can't.

I am still shocked that people believe him when he says this, considering every single thing he has ever done in his entire life is completely opposite. You really believe him when he says this instead of believing his entire history?

Aren't you the guy who always tells people to stay on topic? Double standard?

His track record speaks for itself. His business dealings are the exact opposite of his promises.
Serious question.....Do you believe her?

Honest answer - believe her about what? Has she told lies? Absolutely! (I believe every politician has)

Do I believe that she is a pathological liar? No! I believe the Republicans have done a brilliant job as labeling her as one, but I think she is much more trustworthy than Trump. I do believe Trump is a pathological liar, so much so that I'm not sure he even knows when he is lying. He has made an entire career making money by ripping people off and cheating. He is certainly not a champaign of the little guy, far from it. Is Clinton a champaign of the little guy? I'm not exactly sure her motives are pure either, but she has made a career being an advocate for children and has done a lot more good for the world than Trump has. I trust her far more than I trust Trump.

+1 (except I would have said "champion") 😉

No Fortune 100 CEOs are backing Trump

What does it take for you folks to understand that big business loves the crony capitalism of big govt. And who represents big govt more: Hillary or Trump? She's the devil they know, he's a wildcard. Why is this any surprise?

But Trump is the epitome of crony capitalism. He has always been a huge contributer to political campaigns expecting favors in return. He would not be wealthy today without public subsidies and massive tax breaks for his projects. Do you really expect us to believe that all of a sudden he wants to change all that? If so I have some ocean front property in Oklahoma I'd like to sell you.

You need to get informed. What does it take for you to understand that you don't know what you are talking about?

So you agree with the premise of the big govt/crony capitalism relationship. Then its just a matter of who the biggest CEO's feel more comfortable best preserving that status quo as President: Hillary or Trump? Hillary is obviously the choice.

I don't agree with the premise. I think the average CEO is probably intelligent enough to know that Trump is bad for the country any way you look at it.

Yeah, I think preservation of crony capitalism is pretty low on the charts of what the top 100 CEOs are concerned with. I think they are far more concerned about the crash of the dollar, crash of the stock market, default on US debt, starting trade wars we can't win, Trump's volatile temperment, and a hundred other things about Trump that scares them. This may be the first time in recent memory that tax policy isn't high on their list of concerns.

I agree. It all comes down to who will most protect their bottom line. A Trump presidency would most likely have a negative effect on business if Trump's tax plan were to be implemented.

So using your rationalization, are you touting the lead of what someone recently said, "What the hell do you have to lose?"

Yeah, what was I thinking - you guys are so right! A tax policy that reduces the loophole advantages built up by the biggest companies over decades of manipulating politicians, or regulation sanity that places their competitors on a more equal playing field would NEVER be on the minds of top CEO's.

You are so smart. How lucky we are that you come in here every two weeks or so and tell us we know nothing about politics or business. No doubt you are a successful CEO of some Fortune 500 company. You should run for president in 2020.
