Significant weather in both games today.

Can KC O operate in this weather? Could be a neutralizing factor and tilt to the Colts.

Does Prescott's willingness and ability help the Cowboys given the weather and field conditions? Assuming both passing games might not be as potent as they normally would be. No doubt LA well suited to run with Gurley, but I would think that both front 7s can key on the traditional run game making Dak's running more of an X factor.

Kind of liking both road dogs. Line been moving downward in KC, bounced off of 4, now back up to 4.5.

I'm on both dogs, got Indy early at +5 1/2 and Dallas has been bouncing between +7 and +7 1/2, took 'em with the hook.

Chiefs came out on a mission and played a heck of a game. Hats off to them. Indy could not get anything going, got outplayed, mistakes. This was probably the first "real" elite team(can I say that about KC?) the Colts played all year, and it showed. The way they played yesterday was not indicative of they're last 10 games. But once again KC was the better team yesterday afternoon. It was a 1 seed beating a 6 seed.

This was the first time I have seen Mahomes play. He definitely is a play maker. I am not an expert by any means, but the way he throws at times I wonder if he is going to trash his arm at some point in his career.

Usually I do not pay attention to the play by play and the commentators all that much but Colinsworth has always been difficult for me to listen to. His gushing over Mahomes was getting nauseating. I finally just muted the volume and just turned on the local guys on the radio. He was getting painful to hear.

I always appreciate good QB play, but I am not in the PM band wagon quite yet.

Colts looked awful. At least they scored a TD on a blocked punt.

Cowboys couldn't stop the run but still made it close.

I at least had the over on that and barely won it.

Still, I'm picking the Chiefs, Rams, Pats, and Saints.

4/4! No surprises over the weekend, the top seeds remain. Eagles were the only team to really put up a fight, and their offense faded after the first quarter. Chargers clearly had the worst day of any team, the Pats made them look completely out of place, but this has been the Chargers' m.o. during the Rivers era.

I like a surprise 6-seed once in a while, but top seeds makes for good football. Both teams have already faced each other in epic high-scoring regular season games. I'm excited to see Rams-Saints 2.0, and young Mahomes v old man Brady has all kinds of possibilities.

I'm picking a Saints-Chiefs Super Bowl

If sure-handed Alshon Jeffrey catches that short easy pass, that he can catch in his sleep, Foles would’ve driven down the field and scored the go-ahead TD. The Birds defense played a decent game, but the Saints’ offense is just really really good. Foles wasn’t his on his A-game for 4-quarters. The better team won.

It’ll be interesting to see what the Eagles will be next year with a 100% healthy Carson Wentz. He was never himself either - I think he tried to rush his recovery and it took away his mobility and forced him to stay in the pocket, which he isn’t 100% comfortable doing, it seems.

Had my first 0-fer on games in a good long while.

Really surprised by the poor showings of Indy & the Chargers. Luck looked like Bambi in the headlights for virtually the whole game. Do have to give credit to both KC and NE, they were both ready to play.

Also surprised that Dallas just couldn't stop the run, their D had been pretty stout lately.

Early lines are both home teams around a field goal favorite.

You really could make a good case for any of the four remaining to make the Super Bowl.

3-1 for me. I never do something like this but my wife loves the Colts so I put a little on them. They looked awful. Lucked out on Philly when the Saints missed that field goal toward the end or they would have covered.

I can't stand The Pats but they always win so I will take them getting points. The Saints seem to be able to play defense so I am going to take them. I think I will buy the half point and get the line to a field goal.

Damn. What a pair of games. And after all of these years we have a rematch of Brady's first Super Bowl appearance. I'm sure over the next two weeks we will be hearing all about how many QBs and coaches have gone through the Rams' franchise since 2001.

Chiefs and Saints fans have to be aching this morning. Especially Saints fans.

So yeah, the no-call. Probably the most egregious, blatant pass interference I've seen and it didn't get called. Even Rams CB Robey-Coleman admitted he was waiting for the flag since he hit helmet-to-helmet and got to the receiver way before the ball and never turned around to make a play on the ball. That would have given the Saints a new set of downs, possibly drain the clock and kick the field goal and force the Rams to use their time outs. But I'm not really sure what Payton was thinking since he threw it twice rather than running the ball and the clock down. I'd have more sympathy if he hadn't wasted the opportunity himself by not running it and milking the clock. It's unfortunate, it was a great game otherwise. I know refs don't like to "decide" playoffs games, but it was a bizarre non-call.

After all that, Chiefs-Pats was an even better game. Pats looked like they had rattled Mahomes early, but credit to them for regrouping after halftime. Still, as soon as the Pats won the OT coin toss I think we all knew it was over for that gassed and average KC defense. You can't give up 3rd & 10 and expect to win. Mahomes will be back, no doubt.

While watching the AFC Championship, I thought it must be surreal for Drew Bledsoe to be listening to the man who replaced him in Dallas call the game, and still watching the man who replaced him in Foxborough, five years earlier, still playing for Super Bowls.

When the Pats played the Rams in 2001 they were the underdogs that sneaked in thanks to a controversial call, and the Rams were the unstoppable juggernaut, the greatest show on turf. Hopefully the Super Bowl will be as good as the Championship games. I'm sure they will be calling pass interference a little tighter.

Being a lifelong Saints fan, I had to post about that call. As a result, the Saints settled for a FG turning the ball back over to the Rams with 1:41 on the Clock...With that flag and the resulting 1st down on the 9, the Rams burn their last TO and Saints take the clock down to 3 seconds before attempting the game winner. Say all you will about other missed calls during the game, but that was possibly the worst I've seen.

Go Pats!....

The Saints and the Rams were in the NFC West together for some time and aside from the Falcons, I can't think of a Team I despise more....

The Patriots wear their SB routine as comfortably as their coach wears his Pats hoodie on the sidelines
& there's the point -- atonement for Belichick --
he owes Pats fans something after his still-unexplained benching of SB hero Malcolm Butler last year -- it had a direct hand in the outcome -- the Pats walked onto the field confused & unsure -- they still rolled up 500+ yards of offense, but again -- they lost the game, Phila didn't win it

So coach Belichick's uncalled-for stubborness in benching a key player, helped answer last year's prayers of the anti-Bostons for a Pats loss

but no divine intervention this year -- at the end of the game, TB12 will once again be flashing his toothy victory grin for all to enjoy -- after everyone's favorite QB has led everyone's favorite team to its 6th win in 10 SBs -- a 'dynasty' unmatched anywhere, anytime in sports, just as his QB numbers are NFL records for decades to come

Pats 35, LA 21

Pretty sure I gave you guys props a year ago. Rightfully so too, Philly D did it with the game on the line. But yeah, we're an arrogant bunch. Sox fans too. Not sure what's up with that. Maybe years, decades, of sucking and we figure it's our "due". It'd make for a good sociological/psycho analytical study. 😛

Always good seeing you. Stay warm.

I live in Chicago and almost all of the local taverns have a "theme" if you will. Oh we're a Michigan bar, an Ohio State bar, an Iowa bar. Mostly midwestern stuff because so many people move here from the region. The owners don't give a sheet about said team/college, they do it to make money.

Anyway, one of my past local haunts was owned by a guy from Baaaaaaston. Did I spell that right? 😉

On Sundays during football season, the baaaaaaaaaaaaa would be packed. All of these young adults would take up space and I'll be damned if most of them drank water and didn't spend a penny. They'd scream and yell if a Patriot got two yards. God they were obnoxious.

So I asked the owner about this. Said he didn't care. Maybe they would come back. Place just closed down. Guess they didn't come back. Grin

Mark, my man, you've never been anything but a complete and utter gentleman, and I'm a better man for knowing you (despite your horrible choice in sports teams... 😉 ). I'd wish you luck on Sunday, but that would hurt my soul too much, so I'll wish you good food and better company!

Be well my friend.

Mighty high praise coming from a dude of your caliber. Appreciated... but not always true. I can be a real piece of work sometimes, just ask around.
Pats run ends soon. KC is going to be the team to beat, if they keep Mahomes and get rid of Reid.

KC is finding the tax man as tough to evade as the Pats -- "Chiefs owe nearly $1M in back taxes on Arrowhead renovation"
TB looks/plays no differently than from his early career -- he's said he wants to play until he's 45 -- who's to argue -- whatever the case, his/Pats run are unequaled & a treat for the appreciative sports fan -- cheering on the Pats on Sunday

Line just moved up to Pats giving three. Guess the money is on them. I doubt it is going to matter whoever wins. One of them will win by more than three.
