Their fans already know that Bucks won’t improve b/c they fired their coach - they’ll see that right off, esp Monday at Denver -

….Nikola-Giannis is always the hilite of those games anyway

yep it was baffling then & now they know why - they’ve lost 6 of 8 since firing their coach

Nikola-Giannis should never be missed - even the great Ewing-Olajuwon rivalry doesn’t top it, or say those awesome springtime Kareem-Chief playoff matchups….

as it says, Denver-Mil coming up Monday

one sees the fallout - No Joel, Sixers struggling - he’s right there w/Giannis & Jokic - Phila & all, all sports fans wanna see him at his best & hope he rehabs well from his knee surgery

let’s go Celts, Remember Doggie Julian, ‘humble & healthy boys’🏀

🏒no one can put a finger on it🥅

3 outta 4 losses - all at home, outta the break - listless losses, yes opposition was better but still - the boos were deserved ystrdy

….& the one we won was probly our best game of the season - 4-0 over top dog Vanc

but the pattern of these mini slumps persists & they can take their toll

that said this is a veteran crew, as long as jerseys are black & gold we’re good, ya Broonz

Mayb BambaBam will hap-pan

dont get your hopes up tho😮

nope, Mo is w/Sixiz, Abedayo had a triple double last night & just like that, it’s Miami-Phila tonite & BambaBam all over again

the boys have played well (1st place) - there’s been a Ben Simmons sighting

while enjoying the moment we also have to guard against complacency coming outta the break - Broonz have been playing from behind the whole time (since the break)

i41 say it’s time to get Milan Lucic skating again, his situation is resolved for now, B’s fans love Milan

jazz dropped a crucial one Monday at home to GSW - it amps up the urgency of their back to back w/LAL & Warriyz

few on the floor last nite in NY will be tonite in Boston -

you know Jays/Jayl will be - they’re our horses, our heart & soul, they don’t let back to backs phase them, they know a lot is on them

mayb Jordan Walsh will play, now there’s an odd looking dude, shaved head/no eyebrows - he’s only 19 & is wearing green, let’s go boys

rested up & ready to lay out more misery w/the top record At the break

rewarded for that record w/a 7 game home stand, our longest of the season, coming Outta the break

everything completely lined up to continue wailing

….unreal🤮 - don’t remember us ever barfing out a homestand like we are right now

flipside, Milan apparently will be back at some point, & not a minute too soon - no panic - mojo & bounce of puck will return too

….last 2 of homestand, afternoon games tmrw & Monday, we own the matinees, let’s go Broonz

later edit,

WTF anyway

*charges against Lucic dropped

*Lucic remains on indefinite suspension & won’t return this season

screwheaded & typical of pro sports, just too bad it’s happening w/B’s - It’s Not His Ankle, everyone knows that

there has to be more to it I don’t know about - why he doesn’t return when the charges have been dropped…

you know Lootch is buggin to get out there - he knows his way around & was on the 2011 team - fans got his back

also if charges were dropped (it was due to lack of evidence), isn’t Lucic owed something for wrongful arrest/denied employment/lost wages etc & so forth

…..the whole point is - we’ve played lites out-level hockey Consistently

over the last year and a half

a slump like this had to happen at some point

LA forced OT on a late power play goal ystrdy

Milan’s immediate return would be big & could become huge - coach Monty has said as much - he’s 37, fit & has mad stoke

Cooney Weiland said it many times, same Art Ross, Snooks Kelly, Fernie Flaman, Jack Parker, Milt Schmidt - yep, the great Harry Sinden, 91 -

& right thru to our all time winningest coach, Claude Julien

(tapping temple w/forefinger) … there’s a fine line between playing w/urgency, & panic

we always play w/urgency, it’s in our DNA 100 years strong, so let’s go Broonz

GS Warriors return to the floor tonite - their experienced core will loom large as their injured players gradually return - by the all star break they should have their full roster back

🏀

as LeBron & AD go, so go Lakiz - Russell & Reaves aren’t enough, & envision GS overtaking them - they play Saturday

they had an epic 2-OT game right b4 the break - but yes CP III is due back by the end of the month - some talk about trading Klay, but holy toledo, he had 35 points off the bench recently - he & Chris Paul would make a top backup backcourt to Curry & Podzmski, whatya think Rob - guessing another barnburner w/LA tmrw nite

it’ll be tough to maintain our top record in the 2nd half imo - B’s didn’t - totally didn’t think B’s’d slump outta the break, & don’t think C’s will - still, other teams hit hot streaks/races usually get more torrid down the stretch etc….

cool to see that pic w/Jays & Larry Bird - we’re 43-12 baby, that’s ballin’-green, Ya - Sixiz visit Tuesday, let’s go Celts

🏀Golden State has won 10 of 12, 🏒ChiHawks have lost 11 of 12 - it’s sports

always big, the rivalry game tmrw is epic as former ChiHawks face of the franchise Patrick Kane (2007-23) returns

in a Red Wings uniform

w/double the points (68-34)

in a lost year, will this give glum ChiHawks fans reason to cheer Kane, then mock-cheer their archrivals

or is he now just the enemy, here to hang another L on their lowly hosts

seeing their former C now a turncoat in that uniform could be sacrilege to some leatherlungs in the crowd

so that, will stadium in Chicago be a united center of love for an all time great, RW uniform & all

or some boos - probly less toward Kane than a general malaise - also envy of their hi flying archrivals

visiting team is always greeted w/boos, that goes back to their 1932 Cup finals - Detroit was the Falcons, then that fall (1932), it was changed to Red Wings

Kane & Jonathan Toews, also 2007-23, twin 16-year careers in ChiHawks glory, winning 3-4 Stanley Cups - how often do you see that

🏈side note, NE Patriots special-teams specialist Matthew Slater recently retired after 16 years w/Pats

🏀we’ll likely see Paul on the parquet next week - the Klay/Chris pairing seems like a natural but GSW is stacked w/guards, team is really going & doubtful Kerr will overcoach - Kerr recently got a contract extension, well-deserved - Klis, I mean Chris is 38, he might just end up on the bench

Knicks are dinged up right now but no game at MSG is easy - if at full strength, Knickerbockers are bad news

🥅it’ll be close the rest of the way - we blanked top-VanCan recently - we need a W out there tonite, In Regulation Please -

Vancou has also slumped, it’s the only reason we’re still tied w/them w/80 points - Rangiz grab 1st place w/81 points on a W10, unreal

we got this Broonz

🏒It had to happen, Kane game winner in OT, everyone goes home happy etc

🏀but just a gem in NO as da Bulls take a hard fought road win in a battle decided at C by overlooked V’s

Bulls C Nikola V, 6-11, 265 lbs - 22 points 13 rebounds

NO C Jonas V, 6-10, 260 lbs - 14 points 17 rebounds -

Zion a great game, 11 assists, a playmaking PF

note, the lanky stringbean rookie centers, like the TX Trio, Holmgren etc - great as they are they struggle w/these bigger dudes man-up - it’s understandable

elsewhere, Jusuf owned boards vs LAL, 22 rebounds - LeBron & AD, tremendous as usual

yep good call on LaVine, da Bulls have improved in Zack’s absence

🏒ChiHawks even retired Chris Chelios’ # today too - heck he spent more time in Detroit than Chicago but whatever…

It could just as easily be us

that’s what Broonz fans think seeing Habs in last place

their coach is former UVM Catamount great Martin St Louis, who had an equally good pro career, mostly w/TB

but that IS us nowadays - in fairness we’ve been OK - but not in the last 10 minutes, & our OT/shootout record stares at us (doesn’t speak volumes)

No one is overthinking, we still got the semi home & home w/Tor next week circled w/out overlooking anyone -

Tor was W7 going into last night - Det is W6 - Rangiz were W10 going into last night

…..we’re tied for 1st now - we play coach Cass & Cup champ LV next - they too have dropped

totally see our guys returning to regulation Ws ‘moving forward’ - we had to slump sooner or later, but are also in good shape to successfully defend our title (reg season) - just as Cass feels his team is re Cup -

we set a record last year w/135 points, led by 1st-year coach Jim Montgomery & 2 franchise stalwarts, David Krejci & the great Patrice Bergeron, who have since retired

it’s one of, if not the greatest seasons we’ve ever had - from Eddie Shore on, all concur

then Fla bounced us - now they’ve tied us

everyone is good in our div

🏒….yes a few other teams’ jerseys are soiled w/a century’s worth of blood sweat & tears

none black & gold in color tho🥅

He sat out most of last year w/it, now the ol personal reasons have returned for Andrew Wiggins, who is taking another leave of absence for the same reasons -

same thing as last year, no one knows or is saying anything - like last year he may (decide to) return for playoffs but all a complete unknown - he might be back next week

it’s not cold - it’s breach of contract - this is the 2nd time - he’s withholding his services without a compelling reason, that’s breach of contract - Andrew owes it to people to inform them imo

it could be a + for them as Trayce, Looney, Saric etc will be on the floor more

Andrew is clearly uncomfortable there for whatever reason, personal or otherwise - It Can’t  Be Hoop-related

for everyone’s sake he should request a trade, or be traded - he’s a very good player

in fairness he played almost the entirety of their 2020-22 schedules … I don’t walk in his shoes - but still …

clutch win for Jazz over Mil, these critical midseason wins pay back later on

think again doctor, they’ve dropped 13 of 18 & out of contention, all but finalizing west conf playoff field

same east conf - all but finalized - the bottom 2 west conf teams, GSW & LAL, are really going & a far-sight better than da bottom 2 east conf teams, Bulls & Atl - like Trump & Biden, they’re there only cause there’s no one else

always a fun one w/Warriyz - they could be the deepest team in the league - that’s what Lakers don’t have (depth), & why I think GSW will surpass them

but look at us go (W10) - triple double & all, Luka & Dallas were no match

we’re about so much more than Jays/Jayl, Big Al & Kristaps - great stuff boys🏀

in boxing, styles make fights - in basketball, Celtics-Warriyz represents highest-level hoops

we’ll see that today

LAL lost to #2 Denver last night

#1 Celtics will beat GSW in a pissah game today at the Gahdn kickstarting a trip into the iron this week that includes a stop in, yep, Denver

Their fans already know that Bucks won’t improve b/c they fired their coach - baffling - they’ve lost 6 of 8 since firing their coach

however they learned from it, have won 7 of 9 & take a W5 into LAC tmrw - they see them again end of week w/GSW & LAL in between, so this week will reveal much about Bucks

Like Klay Thompson in GS, Russell Westbrook was really becoming a good 6th man for LAC - his absence will affect them imo - more so than say Wiggins’ will Warriors

…final-month stretch run

🏒🥅everyone knows the importance of a 3 way tie after tonite - there can be no other outcome - NYR-Fla is every bit as compelling as Broonz-Leafs - it’s a must tonite, let’s go boys🥅🏒

Great ballgame tonite, came down to the last shot

Nikola’s 9 assists came in the 1st 3 qtrs - the guy is just an immense player - Big Al & Kristaps worked their butts off against him

….forget the ‘1st home loss for Celtics’ angle, it was slamming hoops by 2 top teams - Jays was a little off balance on the last shot or it woulda gone to OT

will be the same tonite out there - if big Al can neutralize him, if we can send help in doubling on him, incl when he’s off the ball if we can, & KP has a big offensive night, I think we’ll get em

yes the win streak ended but most C’s fans concede the right call was made that gave them their one point win

🏀this time it was brief, now Wiggins has returned

MN, big key - They Are Good - yep they were George Mikan & the Lakers when last cranking like this

😁😁🏀

sixiz’ve struggled w/no Joel, no surprise

now Lak, I mean MN face the same thing w/no KATowns - Karl is a very underrated player - he’s right there w/AD, Giannis & Joel (Nikola tops), & can they maintain the upper echelon - Naz Reid is now key in his absence - Wolves howling in the MN timber this year, KAT & Rudy Gobert clicked, Anthony Edwards has benefited

both Embiid & Towns could return this year - same thing, all fans want them back at 100%

Robert Williams III will be back-large next season, visit tmrw -

we brought back Enes Kanter, Daniel Theis & Al Horford for second stints - We Should Rob Too - a difference maker & key defensive presence, & darn good W/the ball too - we want him back, bad knees & all

no Robert or Lillard, Portland bad this year - no Marcus Smart, Ja Morant or Steven Adams, Memphis, same

-

George Mikan & Bill Russell missed playing each other by one year

Bob Cousy played the first half of his career Vs Mikan, then the last half W/Russell

Bob, now 96, must have had tremendous comments over the years about what that was like🏀

it’s GreenUp Day every day on the parquet, waddayasay boys, great stuff this year - we feel for those injured teams & realize the same thing could happen to us

“with Damian Lil now in Mil will it be Kareem & Oscar II & how do Bucks fans see their chances”

they were today - 71 points, 21 assists, 14 rebounds - helped of course by no Kawhi or Paul George, but point is, Mil will fill the bill come crunch time

finally, on the previously-mentioned “this week will reveal much about Bucks” ahead of a hard four-game stretch, they beat LAC twice, & lost to LAL & GSW

what hoop fan wouldn’t want to see an interview of Kareem & Oscar talking about the good ol days & how great it is to see Giannis & Lillard carrying it forward etc - like Lillard, Oscar arrived later in his career to Milwaukee

the Celtics aren’t the only team w/a rich tradition/heritage, many teams have their own history - we’ve always said that🤙

one sees the fallout - No Joel, Sixers struggling - Phila & all, all sports fans wanna see him at his best & hope he rehabs well from his knee surgery

it’s tough - they’ve lost 16 of their last 23

🏒we feel it - we’d lost 11 of 18 going into tonite, but if beating Habs doesn’t turn us around, nothing will - no game is ever easy up there & wasn’t tonite

🏀solid tonite over a full-strength Phx team - Jaylen Brown has been playing great

they’re locked into those last 2 playoff spots w/a lot of time to go, so one wonders how hard those veteran GSW & LAL teams will go after it down the stretch, instead opting to conserve for playoffs - Stephen Curry is expected back for Lakers game Sat

but no, Embiid is too immense a talent to be able to cover for - his rehab is going great, they’re saying - stinks for their phans tho

Yes should be a fun one - they’ve played each other 10 times in the last 10 months, article said

besides Curry, Draymond Green will also be back, hadn’t known he was out

mayb the league’s most popular matchup, in prime time - they won’t top their 145-144 2-OT game from a few weeks ago tho

Been good to see healthier players this year, by & large teams have been in good shape

no surprise, Denver’s Nikola Jokic had it all over Miami’s Nikola Jovic Wed

it looks easy on paper but no back to back is easy (Wash-Det Sunday-Monday) - so much green, let’s go boys

YA, cranked Philly bullies 1 end of Broad St to the otha - no-bettah way to go into AS break

we’re back there a week from today - matinee - was a rare weekend night game w/them tonite - not bad, but darn it - we had no business having to sweat this one out

still, we’ve been able to tread water - now Fla is L2, we’re W2 & back on top just like that

Tor blew their game tonite but are still right there & figure to make a run - Leafs never go away

now it’s Broonz 95, Fla 94, Rangiz & VanCan 92

TX YCT update & make no mistake, it’s all Victor W, 20 - 33 points, 15 reb, 7 blocks, 7 assists, clutch plays in crunch time as SA rallies from 10 down to win in OT at the state capital -

Dereck Lively II, also 20, 14 points 8 reb off the bench as Dallas shocks Denver on Kyrie’s left hand buzzer beater - Dallas picked up veteran C Daniel Gafford &, if team is fully healthy & they decide to show up, could definitely make finals

Alperen, 21, out for rest of reg season (ankle sprain) - Hou is W5 but unlikely for postseason

Chamberlain-esque in dominance - that was Victor last night - YCT is Youth Center Trio

The forgotten Jordan Poole was the only one who showed up last nite for Wash -

unsure of plan for Pistons tonite - they fought their tails off but lost on Bam’s buzzer beater - they’re a lot better than their record

its Alperen, he’s from Turkey & he’s a playah - he practices w/7-4 Serb, teammate Boban M., 35

one readily sees the upside of this team (we are right now), & U know coach U will attain it

would never have thought they’d attain it w/Alperen sidelined, he was averaging 21 pts, 9 reb, 5 assists

but yep, they’re W6 w/out him, W8 overall & have improbably gotten back into contention - if it’s still close, their game next week w/GSW will tell much - again, coach Udoka is acknowledged as one of the best

we’re W9 w/top record for 2023-24 - the boys have been amazing this year, watta treat, & same thing - largest ups to coach Maz - we have an easy stretch run, all know the downside of that

it’s all green on the parquet hardwood of the Boston Celtics, How You Go Celts🏀

Playoffs begin tonite in TX  - Dallas visits Hou, GSW visits Spurs, & if the home teams win, Houston would pull even w/Warriyz for the last playoff place w/their 12th straight win

Rockets no Alperen, MN no Karl Anthony Towns, Atl no Trae Young - but they’ve all been winning - flipside, Phila no Joel, slump

Anthony Davis should be in the MVP conversation - so good to see him stay healthy long enough to show he he has few peers indeed at C - as long as he & Lebron are feeling fit & ready to go, anything could happen

it already has for our guys, now we play the rest of this terrif season🏀

🏀We’re Tops In The League

we don’t get loud & proud about it, that can come off as arrogant

but we’re still stoked to the nines, both surfaces, & congratulate Denver, they too dominate court & sheet out west

🏒they’re W7, good for 2nd overall w/103 points, & Dallas Stars now join the club🥅 w/Mavs🏀, who also have had strong 2nd half, are W6 & in major title contention

🏀at stake tonite, state bragging rights in Hou

rivals, both played today, NY is obviously tough, yep max-level pucks, showem where we’re from Broonz -

Red Wings were good today, no problems admitting that

no they weren’t

they were no help last night

today, ChiHawks Must Be There

tomorrow, Habs Must Be There

bottom line, Fla, a very good team, will see fully where we’re from today - it’s a stretch-run matinee, our wheelhouse

everyone knows about Fla - yet beating them won’t have full effect if ChiHawks don’t help - realize Dallas is very good

”NY is obviously tough” yes we know that

it’s all playoffs now - we gotta run the table & beat them out to retain our title - it’s Broonz-Rangiz WATTA TREAT - we’ll roll like a spoked wheel down the stretch🥅😀🏒

then the final Hockey Night in Canada of the season tonite w/the teams who started it all - the game’s, mayb sports’, oldest rivalry, where it all began - Leafs-Habs, en Mont Royal - go Canadiens

it’s a season-ending weekend O6 back to back but a win over Tor tonite would give Mont mojo to spare for NYR tmrw
also rooting for Pitts over TB, critical for Pens

We haven’t done our part

that 4-1 loss was our 16th of the year on home ice - it was a critical game

asking Phila for help doesn’t flush - besides they want no part of playoffs, they’re L8 - even Alex Ovechkin & Wash were L6 b4 their most recent game

4 teams left for 1 East playin - would like to see Pitts - they’d be the 1 most likely to go on a tear
that 4-1 loss stung but Carolina was better & tied us w/107 points, 2nd to NYR’s 110
we’re still mathematically alive - 3 games left beginning Sat when we damage Pens playoff chances

tonight’s playin, Pitts-Det, tied at 84 pts

then the final Hockey Night in Canada of the season tonite w/the teams who started it all - the game’s, mayb sports’, oldest rivalry, where it all began - Leafs-Habs, en Mont Royal

no that was wrong, Det beat Leafs in OT in Tor last nite - That was the HNIC finale, and kept-alive Red Wings bid for 1st postseason berth since 2016

which they’ll have to gain in a year-end home & home w/Habs…..yep, Montreal

yep we kept alive our Slim chances for 1st place

however, kinda/SORta guessing it’ll be a wrap at MSG tmrw nite

….the fact is, we gotta show Alex & our fans in the nation’s capital that it’s our biggest game of the year, which it is - it’s theirs too, our fans will be mostly drowned out this time

the Great 8, 38 - 30G, 34A, 64 pts - like everyone else we salute Ovechkin, esp if it turns out to be his last year

THEN WE MUST CRANK - there tmrw, here w/Ott in Tues finale

they helped us last week beating Dallas - maybe ChiHawks can help us again today w/a season-finale home win over Carolina - it’d be a stadium-size assist

YAR BROONZ🏒🥅

Holmgren & Shai have emerged-simpatico as a top tandem w/synergy instigating team-wide chemistry in OKC etc & so on🏀

green(watta)team, lotta greatness there - Ever-Humble - it’s been the team MO literally from Doggie Julian on

yeah they took (a share of) 1st place in a tough west conf - heck even the forgotten Gordon Hayward plays for them

envision visitors, LAL & GSW, winning west playin (real glad they’re not playing each other) - east, unsure

again - a great season - league-best 64 wins

this is what they envisioned when they traded for Gobert - they’ve seized home court advntg & clearly were the better team in Dnvr - see a key role for Rudy Gobert & Luka dogging Nikola, & giving KAT & Naz Reid a chance to shine

yep Anthony Edwards has become a big time player

Dereck Lively II, 20, 14 points 8 reb off the bench as Dallas shocks Denver on Kyrie’s left hand buzzer beater - Dallas picked up veteran C Daniel Gafford &, if team is fully healthy & they decide to show up, could definitely make finals

their series w/OKC is just as awesome as MN-Denver - the stringbeans will determine it, Chet Holmgren, 7-1, 208 lbs vs Lively, 7-0 230 - Holmgren is S K I N N Y - no wonder he’s so good, turn him sideways & he becomes invisible

Luka-Kyrie have emerged as simpatico as Shai-Chet - in short, 2 fun series in store

hopefully the next Den-MN game won’t be 60-30 at the half - there’s only been one of those so far in the playoffs
