Regardless of what actually happened that day, I find it appalling that the Chicago P.D. deemed him guilty in the media before any trial took place. Smollet never received his natural born right of presumption of innocence. If they had tons of evidence that it was a hoax, arrest him, press charges, and shut the F up. Let due process take place. Shame on them.

One angle I never saw brought up was it could have been a setup on Smollett, for whatever reason, use him as a propaganda dupe, or maybe he had personal enemies who wanted him publicly embarrssed. At any rate, something other than the two stories out there.
