Announcement was premature on their part...hell, I'm even skeptical of a US or European vaccine that is rushed through (or is perceived to be rushed through).

Makes me wonder, if Russia, or China were the first to prove their vaccines, assuming proving meets certification standards...would you take it? I don't think I would.

Depends on what the science says

Right because science and scientists always agree...

This pandemic affects the entire world. No reason that a trusted cure can only come form the good ol' USA or one of its allies. If the science is solid, this treatment should be tested as ASAP as possible. If you're drowning - you take the rope thrown to ya without asking too many questions. If the Ruskies have a true cure - let's all give them a standing ovation. Hopefully, they'll share their success (if real) with the rest of the world - which the good ol' USA should do should it find a cure.

I'm not an anti-vax'er, although I have only gotten the flu shot once in my life, but I will let everyone else get a Russia or China vaccine first and wait several years to make sure there aren't any damaging side effects.

Plain and simple, the Russia vaccine is not ready for deployment and the announcement of that nature would never have been made by a US or European company, but this is Putin. Actually Trump would do the same, say "hey we have this ready, we won the race", even though the finish line isn't in sight yet.

I don't trust the science (or anything) that comes out of Russia or China. This is different than experts disagreeing. They each have a long track record regarding lack of transparency.

Russia also has the reputation of not caring about the outcome for those who are being tested.
"Comrade Doctor, the subject has died."
"Have the others died yet?"
"Not all, but many."
"Kill the rest and we will start over again"

I'm very hopeful science will figure something out whether a vaccine or treatments that keep the virus at bay.

A vaccine from Russia or China?

BWAHAAAAAAAA! Not a chance I'd take that.

I wouldn't take it until it had been tested by studies outside Russia and shown to be safe and effective. It could very well be a good vaccine, but I'm not taking Putin's word for it.
