Perhaps the most comical thing that I ever saw in a football game was a Garo Yeprmian failed field goal attempt. I can't remember the opposing team or even the year, but the play is etched into my memory. The snap was bad and the placeholder missed the ball. The ball went bouncing behind the kicker and place holder. Garo attempted to dive on the ball, but was caught in mid-air by one of the defensive players who then just tossed him to the right like a bag of potatoes (forerunner of the dwarf toss event?). He was certainly one of the great NFL place kickers, though!
