In a video released by his presidential library, former POTUS GWBush offered a cal for unity during this pandemic. Transcript from library:

"This is a challenging and solemn time in the life of our nation and world. A remorseless invisible enemy threatens the elderly and vulnerable among us, a disease that can quickly take breath and life. Medical professionals are risking their own health for the health of others, and we’re deeply grateful. Officials at every level are setting out the requirements of public health that protect us all, and we all need to do our part.

The disease also threatens broader damage, harm to our sense of safety, security and community. The larger challenge we share is to confront an outbreak of fear and loneliness, and it is frustrating that many of the normal tools of compassion, a hug, a touch, can bring the opposite of the good we intend. In this case, we serve our neighbor by separating from them. We cannot allow physical separation to become emotional isolation. This requires us to be not only compassionate, but creative in our outreach, and people across the nation are using the tools of technology in the cause of solidarity.

In this type of testing we need to remember a few things.

First, let us remember we have faced times of testing before. Following 9-11 I saw a great nation rise as one to honor the brave, to grieve with the grieving and to embrace unavoidable new duties, and I have no doubt, none at all, that this spirit of service and sacrifice is alive and well in America.

Second, let us remember that empathy and simple kindness are essential powerful tools of national recovery. Even at an appropriate social distance, we can find ways to be present in the lives of others, to ease their anxiety and share their burdens.

Third, let’s remember that the suffering we experience as a nation does not fall evenly. In the days to come it will be especially important to care in practical ways for the elderly, the ill and the unemployed. Finally, let us remember how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat. In the final analysis, we are not partisan combatants, we are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God. We rise or fall together and we are determined to rise. God bless you all.

W offered THANKS to medical professionals as well as reminding us that a virus doesn't recognize national or political distinctions.

Trump, never one to be grateful, gracious, or able to set aside his "me, me, me" attitude for one second, responded w/a tweet:

"Oh, bye (sic) the way, I appreciate the message from Former President Bush, but where was he during Impeachment calling for putting partisanship aside. He was nowhere to be found in speaking up against the greatest Hoax in American history."

When asked in a presser on 3/22/20 if he had/would reach out to his predecessors for help or advice, he responded, "I don’t think I’m going to learn much. And, you know, I guess you could say that there’s probably a natural inclination not to call.”

W, along w/every other American, was right where he belonged during the Senate impeachment trial - not in the Senate chamber. And, of course, the stable genius isn't going to learn anything from anyone, including men who've held the office.

Saw the board got a clean up, but I don't get the support for protesters w/guns, confederate symbols, Nazi paraphernalia, Hawaiian shirts worn by those just itching for the coming boogaloo, & white supremacy symbols. I don't need or want it explained to me. I got it; I don't like it.

I don't want a daily dose of vitriol & baiting & demands. I like hearing from those in the medical field about their experiences, news of what's going on in different geographic regions, & the attempts to distract during isolation w/Name that ___ games. Time for a break.

Other than his deer in headlights moment during the financial meltdown and some well known (and pretty funny) gaffs, George W Bush could deliver compassion and he could lead.

Problem, maybe more so these days, even the best leader isn't going to appeal to everyone. Everyone has their own ideas now, people come to their own conclusions. There is lack of trust, conspiracies cloud what is reality. Everyone knows what is best for everyone else, whether it is true or not others resent it.

I do think most of us are still together on this, trying to take precautions looking out for each other and ourselves. For the ones feeling or doing otherwise, the horse is out of the barn.

Classless move by Trump. GWB has followed - more closely than any President I can think of - the unwritten rule that former Presidents keep their opinions to themselves and don't get involved in the circus of national politics once they're out of office. It was fairly well known that the Bush's weren't Trump fans, and represented more of the old-line elite Republicans. Expecting GWB to speak up during all the impeachment nonsense was unrealistic. His grumbling over it now serves no purpose other than make him look small.

"9-11 unavoidable new duties".

The new world order aficionados caused, directed, implemented that event. Out of the rubble the new subway station has an oculus, and the new tower has the observatory named One World Observatory. They can say well this is the new Tower 1, One World Trade Center Observatory, but those with discernment know what it means.

In 2015, Congress voted to give all that money for the Wuhan lab to do their research because that research would have been illegal in our country.

Most of W's speech sounds very nice but the souls of those who died in blown up buildings on 9-11 still cry out. Nothing will change that until Judgement Day when God himself holds those accountable for that act and all that followed.

Each decade has it's own new army in Islam. 2001 to 2011 was Osama's time. 2011 to 2021 was for ISIS. 2021 to 2031 will be the next group. I personally think the Mahdi will rise uniting the Shiites and the Sunnis, particularly since Israel plans to re-take the West Bank and land all the way to the Jordan River Valley. The Mahdi comes from Iran but will have to go to Saudi Arabia to be protected.

By the way the real Jesus makes an appearance on earth in 2034. The anti-Christ will be in power in the Temple in Jerusalem. They will tell you the real Jesus is a terrorist. They will send 80,000 troops after him. He will prevail. He will have Muslims helping him.

The world will change when the real Jesus is in charge of it.

Re the 9-11 mention, in due time a wayward asteroid/meteor/comet will smash into earth in the same fashion as the planes that hit the towers - with possible same result, depending where the stray outer-space missile struck

Maybe, if it hasn’t happened by 2034, the arrival of the real Jesus will ward it off forever
Who knows, it may happen May 12 - any update on that
Didn’t see/hear of any signs of Hailey’s comet sightings this week
Good wknd, fellow space cadets 😉
