Many people do not understand how it works or how to know if the Ground Hog sees his shadow or not. If it is sunny outside, that means he sees his shadow, and there will be 6 more weeks of winter. If it is cloudy, then he cannot see his shadow, because the sun cannot get thru to make a shadow, so it will be an early spring.
It's all about if the day is sunny or cloudy, that's how you know. If it is sunny there will be 6 more weeks of winter, if it is cloudy, it will be an early spring.
We have three ground hogs up here, and I won't say we have a pipeline into Punxatawney Phil's lair (or burro) but I heard that it will be 6 more weeks of winter, and no the Accuweather meteorologists are not in cahoots with Phil.

Here's a little bit of what is to come. Once it goes thru the Midwest, it will try to move east.
winter is over here in indiana. i mean its cold but i don't expect any snow over 2 inches and if we do it will melt in a week. if its a bad winter here it usually happens between xmas and end of january.....rarely 1st two weeks of feb.....and extremely rare after that
as far as north and east coast....i don't count lake effect snow
