Anyone who comes to the WP but doesn't post, no strings attached, new or old, let us know you were here and say hi, how you doing or whatever you want. Hopefully we might be surprised to see a few friends from years gone by stop in for a minute. Man, so many users I wonder what happened to them.

I would guess two things:
Nothing going on with the band of course.
Facebook.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.
Right, I meant just hope they are well. Dozens of people we used to engage with, it'd be cool if we saw some old faces (names) if even just for one post.
I, too, hope everyone is okay especially the ones who were anti-mask, social distancing, etc. Don't know if @martin ever heard from his Charity Challenge participants who didn't pay up which is poor form, I think, but we got some dropouts then.
Band aside, there's not much to talk about in the WP. The country (or at least the media) seems to have calmed down after the past 4 years & I've no interest in discussing racism or sexism or any other -ism where one doesn't exist. I'm aware that there's a schism in the country, but it's not headline news anymore. Maybe some former posters are just taking a break.
Yeah...not much to "lurk" over now.
Sometimes I feel like starting a topic, something from the news or current events and then really, I don't feel like talking about it, I don't feel like talking about most stuff that typically consumed the WP threads.
I was thinking about members from years gone by...sometimes in the more active Anything Goes side we'll see an infrequent member post, not so much over here.
Just thinking about some of those people...but if there isn't anything here to come check out (and there hasn't been for a bit), I doubt many of them stop by to see what's up.
Was hoping we might get a couple. This thread should be on page 1 all year at the rate of new topics, so maybe.

I like Jerry as well, he is active though (as active as it gets these days). A handful of us re-emerge to post occasionally...leglizhemp, stratdal, 2112, etc, but our long lost friends it's nice to know they are still out there.

I recall your posts from some of the Civil War threads. They were well written and informative. I've been on a bit of a CW kick the last couple of years. A friend recommended the book "Battle Cry Of Freedom". Read it twice!

Not sure if you are referring to the Trump supporters from the past, but I am surfacing to say "hello." My 1st post on the new site, which seems to not get any traffic much these days... For some reason the old site was like a favorite magazine and this new site although the content hasnt changed, its like you dont feel like thumbing thru the pages as much. I hope it still survives. Covid scrambled two months of my life, and although I was not hospitalized, it was not a pleasant experience.
It would be great to see some others like BigV, Allok01, and Fuji chime in from time to time on the WP, I hope to hear from all of you on any threads I start. For example, Do any of you think Joe Biden believes he is actually running the country? Its scary, the way the MSM is letting Joe get away with speaking one way and trying to run the country another way.

Welcome back. While returning to normal, isn't possible for many and without knowing any details, which of course you don't have to provide any, hopefully things are ok in your life and your family.
When the site switched to the new format I too was turned off by it. I thought, well I'm not sure I like this and maybe I just hang it up. But there is something that always has always kept me coming and I wanted to keep doing it. Still things I like about the old site better, this one do is much more modern along the lines of other forums these days.
I definitely believe Joe Biden believes he is running the country. I'm not in a position to explain how he isn't but I await your thread and we will see what happens!
Oh, and no, I wasn't trying to call out just Trump supporters, some of the people I called upon I have no idea how or if they vote politically, they were just WP members that used to be active that faded away from the pages but not from memory. Then of course I know exactly how some of those users feel in terms of politics. Does not matter one bit, everyone here made up the site what it once was. Not ready to let it go yet.

Too many posters who made this site colorful and spicy and funny have gone. It's as flavorful as cardboard now. The language police turned this place into a monastery. Oops, am I in trouble now? Yes, it would be great to see bigv and fugi so they can pay their debts to charity instead of stiffing the charity challenge.
