How exactly was it settled? Trump promised that he would release his tax returns when his audit was compete. Either he lied or he has the longest audit in history. Nothing was settled. Just because he won doesn't mean that he shouldn't release his taxes. He lied, just like he lies about everything else. You just don't care that he lies.

People like Goober say it's been settle in the sense that releasing tax returns was an election issue, Trump didn't do it, people voted for him so since people didn't care then, it doesn't matter now = settled.

It's not settled, his tax returns should come out. If not while he is in office, then retroactively after he leaves office as part of legislation that requires all future Presidential candidates to release them.

I don't know if the National Archive is going to be the location that has the documents people are looking for related to Reade, or if it is the University of Delaware. If there is nothing, then why not allow them to be searched? Maybe there is something else 'uncomfortable' there that people could seize upon.

Kind of like Trump tax returns...if nothing is there, release them. If there isn't anything harmful in the Delaware files, allow access.

Trump doesn't want those tax returns seen. Why ? HE HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE!

Definitely agree...unless somebody is blocking release just because they can, just to maintain control and withhold something just because somebody else wants it (Trump could very well play that game), but more times than not, it is to hide something.

Does anyone really believe that if the tax returns showed him to be as rich as he says he is that he wouldn’t have released them long ago ? You have to be injecting the Kool-Aid directly into a vein in order to think anything else .

Same goes for the banking records Trump has fought tooth and nail to hide from the public.

Most of the world knows Trump is mostly bluster and hyperbole when it comes to his actual wealth and given he's spent a lifetime cultivating the lie that he's some sort of genius self made multi-billionaire, any evidence to the contrary must be hidden at all costs.

This behavior isn't new and has been in the Trump play book his entire life. In watching his performance of late we can see just how incompetent he is and it explains why he's lost far more money than he's earned in his life. Without dear old daddy's money behind him since birth, and the constant bail out by banks and crime syndicates for the past few decades, I dare say the world wouldn't have any idea who Donald Trump is.
