They want to make pot legal so that people will be high. It is not because they want you to be happy. Although some of them probably smoke to alleviate their job stress and get happy themselves.

The bigger reason is stoned people provide little resistance. You just don't care and don't fight. The government can implement whatever it wants to and you will be more inclined to go along with it.

They don't want a revolution, if you are stoned, you are not going to join protest marches, insurrections or anything else. You are controlled, and the beauty of it is, you do it to yourselves, they don't even have to do it to you.

Yes right stoned people did not protest the Vietnam war. Do you read your own drivel sometimes? That one is stupid even for you.

While it's encouraging to read this, I'm still angered and frustrated that Congress continues to delay legislation to end this absurd prohibition once and for all. The time has come for the feds to get the hell out of the war on marijuana!

Couldn't agree more, but Trump's appointment of Jeff Sessions as Attorney General was a big step BACKWARDS. However there are members of Congress, both Republican and Democrat, who have indicated that they will NOT let the progress that has been made in the marijuana legalization movement be prevented from moving forward. I think there are just too many now who realize that including marijuana in the drug war is a FARCE, marijuana has been proven to have legitimate medical benefits, and trying to outlaw recreational use has resulted in nothing but a bloated prison population for a substance that is basically harmless. The Genie is out of the bottle. Now if we can just get past people like Sessions and make it outright legal...........

Decisions made by the voters of states should be respected.
