CALEXIT - like the British did (Brexit). It's already starting (the contemplation of secession).

http://presstv.ir/Detail/2016/11/22/494747/US-Brian-Becker-California-independence-secession

The request was filed with the Attorney General’s office, asking it to “prepare a circulating title and summary of the enclosed ballot measure: Calexit: The California Independence Plebiscite of 2019.”

The independence vote would be held sometime in the spring of 2019, provided that the group changes the California Constitution and then collects the number of signatures required to put the measure on the 2018 gubernatorial ballot.

The idea of a so-called “Calexit” was first brought up by the group more than two years ago but it only gained traction after Trump’s election victory on November 8.

The effort has no possibility of success,” said Brian Becker, the national coordinator for the ANSWER Coalition, a US-based protest group consisting of many antiwar and civil rights organizations. Although California is large enough to become an independent country, it is unlikely that it would separate from the US due to strong opposition from the political establishment as well as the majority of the state’s residents, Becker told Press TV on Tuesday.

I agree. Put it up for sale for 50 trillion and we pay the closing costs but the pest control problem is on the buyer.

Wrong. Your 22-29 year old spoiled brat (millennial), who doesn't understand how the Electoral College works or why it is even part of the Founding Father's plan, truly believes this tantrum will show the rest of us how real life works....

I am laughing myself to sleep...

Anyone notice in the endless whining by the corrupt liberal media nowhere in their tirades do they say why the founding father's designed the Electoral College.

I'd bet that is you asked the average millennial college graduate they would have no idea what you were talking about.
They may be out looking for a job seeing that now they may actually have to pay their tuition loans.
How many part time low wage Obama jobs (formally known as a McJob) do you think they will actually work?

California is not broke. You are working off old information from when Arnold was governor (our last Republican governor). Ever since the tax increase a few years ago California has had a budget surplus, has been putting money into a rainy day fund, and has had one of the best economys in the world. This is in direct contrast to what happened in Kansas who lowered taxes at the same time that California raised theirs and resulted in crashing Kansas' economy. By the way, California contributes far more in federal taxes than it receives back, a net contributer.

All that said, I won't support a Calexit. I thought it was stupid whining when Texas and some other southern states were talking about seceding from the US after Obama won, and it's just as stupid now when the shoe is on the other foot.

What exactly is California's debt right now?
Like I said, California is broke.

"southern states were talking about seceding from the US after Obama won" is a load of crap propagated by the George Soros type race-baiting left.

California has used it's tax increase to pay off debt. Governor Brown has been a deficit hawk and has kept the state Democrats in line to curb additional spending since the Republicans in the state were kicked to the curb. The California economy has really been booming for the last several years, and although you might hear an occasional story about a company leaving California for Texas or Nevara, the amount of jobs lost in those moves are minimal compared to other newly created jobs.

Why do care about debt all of a sudden? You just voted for Trump who's tax plan pretty much every economist on the planet said is going to blow up the US debt. But since you asked the question, this link will show you that California's per capita debt is about middle of the road.

But hey, if you don't like California, please feel free to stay away, and please refrain from eating fruits and vegetables, most of which are grown here, stop watching movies, which are made here, stop using you computer, since most of the programs were written here, and stay off your meds, since most were developed here.

Never mind, most of us here would prefer if you doubled your meds.

The one area where the left retains undisputed representation is the music industry. If the right keeps attempting to promote this divide between people other boundaries will emerge. Trump has said that following the Pence theater experience conservatives will have to have safe places at concerts and other events. This should be an interesting development. Maybe conservatives will have to be carted into concerts in glass coffins or stuffed into balconies. 😮

Name one real economist who doesn't think that Trump's tax plan won't explode the debt? One that has actually done calculations. Seriously, I'll bet you can't find one. And while you're at it feel free to post California's debt since you somehow think that it's important.

Obama plans to have a home in California once he leaves his current house in DC. Though earlier reports said he wanted to stay in the DC area while his daughter finishes her schooling.

I wonder if the Calexit supporters know he plans to have a place in California? If the poop hits the fan in DC, he can head to Cali for sanctuary. Also buying a vacation home in Hawaii. Maybe he plans to get out of politics and just live and enjoy his retirement. What would be do if there was a second revolution in this country, as a private citizen, what would he do?

It's been rumored that Obama plans on opening a marijuana dispensary now that the California market will expand exponentially given the state just passed recreational marijuana use.

When asked in a recent press conference if he fears a crackdown on his new potentially lucrative business venture by the feds, he simply replied "Hell no! I'm soon going to be a former two term President of the United States. Such status makes me immune to prosecution and given such, any competition in my new venture has little chance of competing as they, and not I, will be vulnerable to federal interdiction. Why else do you think I've sat on the side lines with regard to marijuana reform at the federal level? For personal profit of course. It is after all, the American way." 😛 😛

So...let me get this straight...liberals claim that it was wrong and unconstitutional for the southern states to secede from the "sacred" union and form the Confederate States of America. They also thought that it was morally justified for Lincoln's armies to murder, rape and pillage their way through the south in order to "preserve the Union" and stop the secession of the southern states. But they are OK with California seceding? The ignorance and hypocrisy of the Left never ceases to amaze...

P.S. I did not vote for Donald or Hillary, I despise both parties, and I fully support any state's right to peacefully and voluntarily secede.

Nobody cares and it will not happen.

Anyone notice that none of the so-called celebrities were going to move to Mexico?

Wrong. they didn't have a supermajority until 2012.

Which, by the way, is about the time that California's economy started to boom. Every summer when the Republicans would shut down the state government during budget negotiations really hurt the state. That was then, this is now. California has the highest economic growth in the country and a state domestic product almost twice the next highest state. And yes, California's debt is about $496 billion. Meanwhile Kansas struggles with amongst the lowest growth on any state, a large part of which were brought on my their tax cuts. I'll take California's economy, even with their debt, over Kansas and just about any other state any day. And yes, I pay a crap load of taxes being in the upper income bracket here, and yes property values are through the roof here, but they're only high because the economy is doing well and people can afford million dollar houses.

The question was about California's debt.
then you went to "who doesn't think Trump's tax plan will add to the national debt"
Then you went to "add trillions to the debt"

You can try to keep changing the premise of the question but that will not change the facts.
When wrong, changing the question simply demonstrates you are searching in the dark for anything you can throw at Donald Trump.

You should try to get a job with the Corrupt News Network as a B/S/ commenter.
They are experiencing turnover.
