Hasn't been fired (yet), just suspended. And it is for what he (Bush) said, not for what Trump said (it was definitely a two-way conversation)...

"Let me be clear: There is simply no excuse for Billy's language and behavior on that tape," producer Noah Oppenheim wrote in a statement to Today show staffers obtained by USA Today. "NBC has decided to suspend Billy pending further review of this matter."

So here we have a something deemed too incendiary for a morning TV show host to have said 11 years ago, but Trump and his supporters think everyone is making too much out of "lock room banter" and it should have no bearing on his worthiness to be POTUS. Weird stuff we are seeing this cycle, weird stuff.

On a related note...I've been in and out of locker rooms for as long as I can remember, and I've never heard talk like that...maybe something close in high school, but certainly not as an fully formed adult. So not only is he insulting women, he's also insulting grown men who use locker rooms, lumping us in with him as if any normal well-adjusted man would consider that kind of talk to ever be acceptable...it certainly wouldn't in any locker room I've been in over the last 20+ years.

Billy Bush is an amateur compared to Howard Stern. That guy played Trump for years. He let Trump come on his show when no one in town would touch him and squeezed hard. Got him to talk about how hot his daughter was and how young is too young - 12.

So Bush's lawyers are negotiating him out of The Today Show with an expectation of an announcement by Friday.

Bush is getting screwed. His job was to goad Trump into being Trump for some tough guy soundbites ("You're Fired"/The Apprentice.) Bush was an ET reporter (NBC show) interviewing Trump on a press junket to promote The Apprentice (NBC's new reality show) and make a cameo on an NBC show with a bona fide NBC star. As the interviewer, of course he knew the mic was on. You can see him egging Trump on.

He got the goods, but at the time, ET couldn't air such crap. Years passed. Bush moved on to the presumably more wholesome Today Show and suddenly some of the MSM CAN broadcast those tapes. The Today Show is apparently too holy for the guy who did his job so well back then.

Amusing that he's now considered too unclean to replace the dumb-as-dirt Matt Lauer. Really, who is home to watch the 9 am hour with Bush followed by the 10 am hour with Hoda and Trump's former bestie Kathie Lee?
