Does anyone else find Bill Walton obnoxious?
For starters, I hate to be cruel, but he hasn't exactly aged well. It's when he flashes that three mile high toothy grin of his that I really can't stomach his face.
But more than that, it's his hyperbole. Just loud, loves to hear the sound of his own voice, often leading to irrational, rambling dissertations. For example Thursday night during the Oregon - UCLA game, comparing UCLA's comeback to buffaloes stampeding the plains of Colorado. Really, Bill? Hey, I know you're a UCLA alumni, but man..........
I find Bill Walton the be the most obnoxious, irritating announcer in ANY pro sport. Interested in feedback...............
I agree with you. When I see Walton doing a game, I find something else to watch. I find him to be more annoying than Dick Vitale. At least Vitale talks about the game.
ESPN has been running commercials for an NBA game that will be called by Walton and Vitale. I am going into the mountains where there is no TV or internet so I do not accidentally hear a word of it. 😛

LMAO. I can barely stomach Vitale...........Walton makes me puke.
I know a lot of people get annoyed by some play by play and color analysts. I never had, I just kind of tune them out .
There is a local and national sports guy, which some of you may know , Dan Dakich.
He has a talk show here in Indy and does play by play for ESPN.
He is wretched. I listened to him a little when he first came out, but after that......ugh.

I like Walton more than I used to. Back in the 1990s when he first started, he was pretty insufferable. He wouldn't shut up about whomever was the Center, it was all he had to talk about. If he's doing a Rockets game, sure, blather on about Hakeem all you want. If you're doing a Bulls game, maybe shut up about Bill Wennington.
I actually don't mind him as much, but I have a lot more tolerance for announcers these days. Mostly because I am an ace at tuning people out.
