At least 126, mostly children, slaughtered as Taliban storm Pakistan school

I don't care who, what, where, when, or why. Slaughtering non combatants, especially children, is wrong. I don't care if it's by bombs, planes, or bullets. It's wrong. There is no justification. Supporting any such action is wrong.

I think slaughtering anybody is wrong, but where is the battlefield that is the big question. Planes bomb and kill anyone in an area where the bombs, missiles are launched. They don't know if all the people there are guilty of anything, so how can they keep doing that? I do not like Malala Yousafzai, but she was a child in South Waziristan. If she had been in a house where a missile hit, she would have died, even though her beliefs were not the same as those living in that area.
That is why the bombing and missiles in an area where the authorities believe 'terrorists"
are is wrong. To kill even one innocent person, even in Islam is regarded as killing all of humanity, so how do governments justify this?
There are many children who are innocent in all areas, yet they are regarded as collateral damage. Both religions say that people have a right to avenge the deaths of their family members and innocent people (who have not done anything). What rights do the Taliban have?
The Pakistanis were not coming here to do anything, they were happy living in the Frontier province, the govt. of Pakistan acknowledges the way of life in the tribal areas is governed by Tribal law (FATA), their tribal laws based on their religion says they can avenge the deaths of their peoples, how can they do this? Where can they do this? Where is the battlefield?

Piacere, I was born and raised here, the Jets are our home team and back in 1969 they were a great team. All the teams back then had many notable players. But now they are more or less the Field Goal Jets. You can count on them to get in field goal range and get field goals. That's not enough. I have long said when a team does not provide adequate pass protection to the quarterback or have a quarterback who can connect with his receivers, or running backs who can get thru the hole and pick up some yardage, change the strategy. Do short screen plays to the sidelines to stop the clock and give you as much time as possible. STOP doing two running plays, getting no yardage and then having to go long to get a first down. They keep doing that. I want to see a quarterback with balls, who will throw on the first play, mix it up, confuse the other team. Have a team capable of keeping the ball in play, if nobody is open, let whoever is open pass it off to somebody else, short throws. Think and play outside the box. Actually watch the films of the other teams so you know what they do well, and how.
Football just ain't what it used to be.

gina. gina, gina, gina...
there have been times, maybe hundreds of times 😉 when I've wanted to reach into the monitor, grab you by your blonde hair, jump in your Paris Hilton-like face and scream, "What are you talking about?"
this is not one of those times.
but remember, O Woman, it is true, football ain't what it used to be for various reasons but one fact remains...the Jets must always be hated and receive no sympathy at all... 😛
nice post.

Unfortunately when Joe Willie Namath traded his soul to the Devil he only bargained for/guaranteed one Super Bowl. Bad deal; but then again in 1969 sports franchises weren't worth what they are today.

I don't think chopping people's heads off as some Muslims do is correct.
Yes, I recall you applaud the humanitarian Taliban bullet to the brain stem. More merciful, right?

Well, I'm not big on pain and suffering. I oppose chopping the heads of because in the Quran, it is written not to alter the body. In the Bible, it says God put the parts of the body where he wanted them and he forbid piercings, tattooes etc. Cutting off heads alters the body, and is just horrible. The Taliban who do it will say that they way they cut the throat does not cause the victim pain, because they do it they way the Jews were told to slaughter animals (Kosher style), they sever the carotid, so the animal or person does not feel much pain, then they continue with the rest of it.
A bullet to the brain stem is more merciful, which is probably why our govt. does that to their spy operatives who they want to terminate. I'm opposed to killing people, but if you're going to do it, make it quick, clean, merciful.

Meanwhile in Pakistan, they have issued an arrest warrant for the Cleric from Lal Masjid (the Red Mosque) Maulana Abdul Aziz, who refuses to condemn the attackers on the school. The Red Mosque has been itself a site of controversy since it was seized several years back by Muslims who were tired of a brothel nearby, they sought to save and convert the women, who were viewed as hostages.

There are 500 (five hundred) people who are going to be executed in the next few weeks as part of Pakistan's promise to eradicate ALL Taliban from their country. They are prisoners in Pakistan right now, and Imran Khan is still pushing forward with his proposals for Judiciary reform; so Pakistan is on the verge of a serious civil war from within it's own borders. Ban Ki Moon, United Nations Chief has asked Pakistan to NOT use their death penalty. The Pakistani answer was:
Prime Minister Sharif promised that “all legal norms would be respected,” the statement added.
The prime minister ended the six-year moratorium on the death penalty, reinstating it for terrorism-related cases, in the wake of the deadliest terror attack in Pakistani history.
Executing 500 people is "respecting all legal norms"?
Pakistan has deployed 10,000 troops across the four provinces where their Taliban are known to reside, so they must want a war with their Taliban, sending 10,000 troops, continuing drone attacks, and planning to execute 500 prisoners. There is no other conclusion.

in the Quran, it is written not to alter the body
The male thief, and the female thief, you shall mark, cut, or cut-off their hands/means as a recompense for what they earned, and to serve as a deterrent from God. God is Noble, Wise. Whoever repents after his wrongdoing and makes amends, then God will relent on him. Truly, God is Forgiving, Merciful. [5:38-39]
