Actually i have not, and if I had it certainly would not have been on this website, which is absolutely middle of the road politically, with the occasional ultra-right sore thumb who makes the moderates look like pinkos, and clearly stoops to bigoted insults and unfounded slurs on a regular basis.

Charlie Daniels was born in 1936, he would have been of draft age in the mid fifties. The Korean War was over and and Vietnam was still about 10 years away. The numbers needed in the military were probably down, maybe his draft number did not come up. I don't think there any evidence that Charlie did anything to avoid serving in the military.
