Your Quote
Bogan bot

G'day: Me mate Robbo - you know the ex-digger with the seppo sheiler? - He's a chippy and can help you fix up that old Queenslander. Just swing him a slab of piss and a couple of durries. He'll rock up in his ute this arvo.

Are you drinking tonight? Haha. I am!

This is the Amazon thing you talk to and I don't know, it can look up movie times or give you a kitchen receipe or if you have your thermostats on the network it can turn up your heat if you feel cold?

I'm not interested and don't see the appeal. But some people do. CNBC guys think that Apple really needs to hit a homerum with their "thing you talk to and it does stupid stuff for you machine" - or whatever you want to call it.

I'm sure if I had one I would play with it like you are. I did that with my wife's phone with Siri. I never set Siri up on my phone, the novelty wore off pretty quick.

Wonder what kind of Allman Brothers knowlege that thing might have?

Not really...I don't know, ask it the last time the Allman Brothers played Layla?

Or something that really matters...is New England going to cover the 16?

Well, if we were given an actual date of the last or any Layla rendition or even something close to an opinion on the game that would impress me some.

AI has a way to go.

And to think of all this talk I hear of self driving cars. I hope I am dead before I have to get into a car that is not driven on a road by a person. I want to drive all my vehicles until I can't physically or mentally drive any longer.

I missed that part about your feeling like you were having a heart attack? Did you go to a hospital due to what you thought, or urgent care or call your family doctor?

That is scary. I weigh somewhere between 200-210, but have ALWAYS been a horrible eater, I mean chips, pizza, pop, wings, fried food all the time, you name it. So I get kind of paranoid. I have talked to my doctor atleast once a year about some weird feelings I have and he always assures me it isn't my heart (cholesterol good, no blood pressure issues).

I've got to change my way of living...

funny as hell

Ha! It said pussy anal dildo and started freaking out.

What did I hear once, that some sort of artificial intelligence machine was put into testing and since it learns what people say to it that it started saying what people were saying to it and it came back with a bunch of insults and swear words.

Got one for Christmas. Really like it so far.

What does it do for you, or help you with that is valuable to have?

A member of my family talks to his phone all the time. Anytime we are talking about some sports thing, like when the last time something happened or whatever, he immediately picks up his phone and asks it.

Sometimes we got answers that were helpful, other times it would give us information unrelated to what we wanted.

I suppose I am just not to the point that I think it is inconvenient to look up something myself. I rather do my own thing anyway as I don't always trust a single source or person telling me something.

I think I am too skeptical for AI machines to rely on them to do things for me.

I use it as my bedroom entertainment device. I have it play music or the radio when I go to bed. I have it as an alarm in the morning. It will be really nice if I get a TV in there. The ability to have it order movies or go to shows will be really nice.

I've had one for over a year now. Got it right when it came out and we love it. It's incredibly useful, and my wife and I use it everyday. Every morning we get full weather report. It answers basic stuff like date and time of upcoming games, a teams current win-loss record, scores of games, capitals of states and countries, population of any city or country, distances between 2 points, measurement conversions, any math problem just ask, set timers and alarms. And of course music - if you have prime it can play just about any song, or any song you upload into your library. You can say "shuffle Allman brothers" and it starts playing an Allmans playlist. This was just off the top of my head - it does much much more.

Thank you for enlightening me. Having said that I don't have a need in my life for that product, but continued enjoyment for you all.
