Interchangeable descriptors for "Republican".

You're making progress. Other than leaving out the hyphen in "self-serving" you managed to string several words together spelled correctly and used properly. Could it be that The Goober is becoming literate? Is there hope for America?

No, they still have some sense of decency. You could learn something from them.

So, are you removing your vote from any Republican who is unendosing Trump?

As I said previously, it took the most recent event for these Repubs to abandon ship. Trump has been awful from the start, and any one of many statements he made would have made any self-respecting public servant disqualify a vote, support, or endorsement for Trump. None of the Johnny-Come-Lately GOP types dumping him "now" impress me in the least. If they had real integrity they would have stepped up to the plate months ago.

I wonder how many of those 150 are running for reelection and are doing this more out of self-preservation.

It was just a few days ago that Kelly Ayotte waffled awkwardly but essentially endorsed Trump as a role model for children, ostensibly out of political expediency. Now, all of a sudden, he's a liability instead of an opportunity.

True, I think they're acting out of self-preservation no matter how late. The full NYT article charts who jumped ship after what comment. Still, the tapes do have him specifically admitting sexual assault. That was more than anyone other than Bob Dole could stomach.

Worse, I think his response to Howard Stern when asked how young was too young of "twelve" is even more repulsive.

I watched her response to the question several days ago. She looked really uncomfortable even answering the question. I think she qualified her answer the next day????

She is one of the main characters that should have separated herself from Trump in the early days when she could have saved some of her credibility. She's in a tight race. Hope she gets sent home by the voters. Maybe then she'll have time to reflect upon her decision not to dump Trump earlier on.

Sure they can be wrong. I'm not sure it's too wise to add yourself to this list (if you plan on getting re-elected.)

Perhaps some are in States where Trump is not popular, so no tremendous harm done in those cases but why forfeit the votes of the Trump supporters? Doing whatever small part in getting H. Clinton elected will not be viewed too favorably. We'll find out, but sometimes it's better to look at the big picture.

Could be the last nail in the coffin of the GOP. Grin

I'm not sure I know what the GOP is anymore. I used to think of them as fiscally conservative, socially conservative, family values party. They seemed to have morphed into the big spending, racist, tax cuts for the rich, grab them by the pussy party. The religious right are still on board for some reason, although it appears the days of pandering to the religious right are now over.

More accurately, it may be the last nail in the coffin of established GOP incumbents that fail to back their parties nominee for president. This will pose a problem for them down the road.

Forget down the road, Trump is posing a problem for them NOW.

They have to overcome Trump to win now, so they are dealing with them immediate problem first. I don't think it will be the kind of problem that you think it will be down the road, if they get that far, but we'll see I guess.

Helping Hillary Clinton win the presidency will be a major problem. That will damage them much more than anything Trump could do.

Wrong. Supporting Trump could help their opponents beat them in THIS election which is about as much "damage" as can be done to them. If repudiating Trump helps them get elected now, then that's one more term than they otherwise would have had no matter what happens later.

One of the Republicans on the list above whom I know personally thinks otherwise and is willing to sacrifice her career for the good of the country. She's up for re-election. And she's not the only one. That's called public service.

Country before party.

Maybe and maybe not. You do know that turnout has a lot to do with particular elections. On balance presidential elections draw larger turnouts.

The angry Trump jilted voters would need to carry their resentment forward and know that there is a House or Senate election on the calendar.

alloak, wouldn't you agree that's a lot to ask of low info voters trying to "Make America Great Again"?

Funny how Ayotte's lead is evaporating. Her "self preservation" move may have backfired, as predicted by the snarky moron.

Come on man, you are quibbling over a crumb. Let me clarify, for every 100 Trump signs, I see about 1 or 2 Hillary signs.
