Posted by: @photoron286@gotdrumz Got it and enjoyed the hell out of it.
I dig it tonz!
Have the New Riders in the series as sell as well, it is a rough listen. The historical aspect makes up for that I suppose? Already have the ABB stuff and plan to get the Hot Tuna one. Definitely want to support the project, so we keep getting killed tunez.
Laterz!

Always one of my favorites. Would play HC while driving my son to school. Good bet he was the only kid in So Cal that had a Highway Call t-shirt. Good times!

A beautiful version of Pachelbel's Canon.
Coloursound is a band with Mike Peters of the Alarm and Billy Duffy of the Cult. They put out their first album in 1998 and just released a new album this year in July. They really do an amazing job of combining the sound of the two bands. The songs sound like the Alarm with Billy Duffy's guitar sound. Would love to see them do a tour but they get no label support and I am afraid no one here in the States haas ever heard of them so they would not draw enough.

@bill_graham Yes ! i just played this too. I was looking for his version of Special Care ( Stephen Stills), which I first heard on the Doris Troy album on Apple records. Stepehen played on that version , too. I am guessing he played piano. Both versions are very good! Dors" is a lot more up tempo!

The talk about Robin Trower in the Gibson amp thread got me fired up to listen to his first solo album. I used to get most of my music news from the old Circus magazine when I was in high school in the early 1970's as they would always have half page articles about new bands in each issue and they had one on Trower going solo.
After reading the article I went out and bought his debut solo album unheard and turned many a friend onto him back in the day. I know he was inspired by Hendrix but I think his music has its own unique sound and have been a fan ever since.
Edit: Did a little Googling and I found out there was a short article on Trower going solo in the August 1973 issue of Circus Magazine in the regular feature called "On the Horizon" which highlighted new bands every issue. That issue apparently had a feature article on the ABB about the band turmoil while making the Brothers and Sisters album.
Another band I discovered from reading Circus Magazine back in High School. And another album I bought without hearing it first and had to order it from a hole in the wall record store a half hour drive away as our tiny town only had a now defunct big department store, Bradlees, near by that only sold vinyl by popular bands. Still have my original copy, shown in the picture, I bought back in 1972 which surprisingly is still in good playing shape after all these years.
It had ex-members from Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly and Johnny Winter And which were all bands I was a fan of so I figured how bad could it be. A little bit dated but still one of my favorite progressive rock albums of all time that I listen to often.
Here is the full album for those not familiar with the band. Bobby Joe Caldwell is on drums and back when he was with JW And he played with ABB on the ABB Fillmore East album playing percussion on a few sets. Duane wanted to make him full member in the Bothers but for whatever reason it never happened.
