Always been an Allman Brother fan but I am a late comer to the Grateful Dead. I am just starting to buy some of their live stuff and there are so many it makes my head spin to figure out which ones to buy. Started with some of the older live shows and the Venetta Creamery 1972 show is amazing IMHO
ABB
Live in Winterland 1973
One of the few and far between short tunes from this power trio...
I've revisited Gregg Allman's Low Country Blues, and wow I had forgotten how clean, clear, and crisp a recording that it is. Gregg's vocals on Blind Man are up there with his best, imo.
Long John Hunter - Swinging From The Rafters. A friend of mine was the band's bass player for a number of years. Solid and in the groove!
Watching a Gov't Mule September 15, 1995 concert at the Cotten Club in Atlanta Georgia.
It appears to be a proshot one camera shoot with SB audio. Not high tech or HiDef video but a fantastic early Mule concert in a small club.
Tom Petty
Wildflowers
Neil Young
Harvest Moon
Starting my Sunday with some soul from 'Thee Sinseers'...
Listening to Susan's Hope and Desire. Kind of a mellow thing for a Sunday morning. I think the album is all covers. For some reason I have always liked this release.

Yeah it overwhelms me too. I am on the Dead's email list and I receive an email seemingly weekly about a new release. They recorded everything. Too bad The ABB didn't. If you like to read and haven't yet, pick this up. It's quite interesting.

Great choice! That's one of my all-time favorite box sets. Now I'm in the mood to dig it out of my collection and give it a spin.

One of my top 5 time machine concerts if I could go back in time.
Gov't Mule- Live With A Little Help From Our Friends Deluxe 4CD, NYE 1998, Roxy Theater, Atlanta, Georgia. 4 hours and 7 minutes of goodness
Recently acquired a lawsuit era Howard Roberts copy, June 76 build, so I have been filling in my knowledge of Howard. I call the guitar Howard after Roberts and Howard Duane.
He recorded thousands of albums and singles, was an early leader in guitar education and general cool cat.

Now listening to some early 70's jazz...
https://thelightmen.bandcamp.com/album/energy-control-center
Energy Control Center, Thomas’s third LP with his Lightmen band is his masterpiece: deep-set, maverick jazz that smolders in the embers of a cultural revolution. This is a highpoint amongst the best of the 1970s, and this version of the album contains second disc with bonus tracks: unreleased alternate takes, including two versions of the Spiritual Jazz classic “All Praises To Allah,” and the two singles Thomas produced for poet and activist Thomas Meloncon.
