This pairing with Vanessa Williams on The Tonight Show, 1996, is really special but hey, don't trust MY opinion.  You may remember Bobby Caldwell for What You Won't Do For Love (1978) which was a huge hit and has been recorded or sampled by many others.

I'm really sad this morning.  Caldwell was probably my favorite crooner, I owned four of his records for 20 years, and fortunately I did catch him live just once, JVC Jazz Festival 1995. 

FYI, in 2017 Caldwell suffered an extremely severe negative reaction to a prescribed antibiotic which rendered him unable to perform.  Don't take antibiotics unless you're really, REALLY sick and nothing else is working!
