Great high energy live show.

Sometime last year I started to hear the Revivalists on XM quite a bit. Their last album has quickly become a new favorite of mine.

Going to see them in Pittsburgh on Wednesday. Wondering if anyone here has seen them do a live show, and what you think about their shows?

I've seen them a few times, going back to a show where they opened for Rebirth Brass Band in 2011 or 2012. They were babies then, and still put on a good show.

I haven't seen them since they've blown up over the last few years, but they are charismatic performers. I hope you enjoy it!

I have seen them 3 times, most recently in January. First time I saw them in a small secondary room off to the side of the House of Blues with maybe 30 people there, they had no green room or private area - Shaw was warming up his vocals in the men's room. Last time I saw them this year they played a small sold out theater. I'm happy for their growth.

High energy is a good description.

If you like their studio releases you will love them live. They do not jam that much compared to alot of bands, sometimes they stretch out a saxophone or keyboard section a bit. Overall I think their songs sound alot better live. There are a few songs that I sometimes skip over on the earlier studio CDs, but when they play them live it almost sounds like a different song, in a good way.

I was going to go Wednesday but we are going to see a show Thursday instead and had to pick one or the other since I just saw them I am skipping. Wish I was going.
