Paul McCartney Announces 2017 Tour Dates

Paul McCartney will return to the road this year with a series of tour dates that’s taking him from Japan to the U.S.
McCartney, already scheduled for multiple nights in Tokyo through the end of the month, has now revealed that he’ll be back on tour as early as July 5, when he’ll travel to Miami to play at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
He has several other dates scheduled for July, before he returns to the U.S. on Sept. 11, when he’s booked to perform at the Prudential Center in Newark — and four nights later, he’ll resurface in New York, where he’s playing Madison Square Garden on the 15th and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn the following night.
Those dates start an East Coast run that continues Sept. 23 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse and concludes three nights later at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y.; McCartney’s tour itinerary then takes him to Michigan, where he’s scheduled to play at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Oct. 1.
If rumors surrounding the tour are on target, those will just be the first stops on a quickly expanding run of shows. McCartney’s stop in Tampa on July 10 will be his first time playing there in over a decade; his Des Moines show on July 21 also marks a return after being absent for more than 10 years. Keep an eye on McCartney’s official website for ticketing information.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
Not interested.
Just bought seats at Turning Stone Casino for Asleep at the Wheel.

McCartney and band are still great in concert and last time I saw him he played 2 hrs 40 minutes. Piedmont Park benefit for $85.
Last time he came through Atlanta he played Philips arena. It was the highest priced avg ticket for any concert in Atlanta history. The lower level (not counting VIP or front section) was $260/ticket. The worst seat was $200. I think it holds 16,000 for a concert. He sold out.
He's playing a smaller venue this time, in Gwinnett Arena, which I think is 12,000 seats. He could do three nights and sell everything.
I'd love to take my bride and my 3 teenagers, but it will be too pricey.

If you've never seen him and you're a Beatles fan you should go.
I had the good fortune to see McCartney on each of his first 7 US tours. I was interested in going last year (JAX), but like Tim said, the tickets have gotten pricey. The only tickets in my budgeted range were for the end zone on the opposite end of the stage. I passed on the Piedmont Park show to see Steely Dan for my first time at Chastain.

My wife is a huge fan; go whenever we can. Always a truly professional show. I don't think even Jagger has as much energy as this guy. Shows are nonstop.

Duluth seems an odd choice for Paul with the number of bigger venues there are in Atlanta but I don't think it's affiliated with live nation, maybe that has something to do with it. In other news, Donald Fagen just announced at Symphony Hall, that should be a good show if Rusty is interested.

I love the arena in Gwinnett, it is big without being too big. Have seen Clapton there twice, Dylan and a few others. I will try to get McCartney tickets as well.
They do have some tickets that are around $70 in the upper level away from the stage and behind the stage. So you can get in the building for a decent price.

Nosebleed in Syracuse are $29.50 before charges.
