My Eric Clapton dream setlist

Well, over on my Facebook page this month, I've been posting a different Clapton song each day, and I decided to frame it as a Dream setlist for a show. I know he'll never do a show like this now, but it'd be awesome & worth the money if he did. Here it is!!:
Set 1:
Mainline Florida
Superman Inside
Help Me Up
Walk Out In The Rain
Spiral
I Can't Stand It
Stone Free
Knock On Wood
Slow Down Linda
It's In The Way That You Use It
Acoustic set:
Ramblin' On My Mind (Solo, no band)
Promises
Broken Down
I Will Be There
San Francisco Bay Blues
Set 2:
White Room
Bad Love
No Alibis
She's Waiting
Blues Power
After Midnight (1988 version)
Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad
Pilgrim
I'm Tore Down
Double Trouble
Holy Mother
Forever Man
Cocaine
Encore:
Behind The Mask
Lay Down Sally
Layla

Nice show but i think your missing a set? Interesting as many of the omitted have multiple versions. Shot the Sheriff, love the extended versions. Crossroads, Got to get Better in a little while, White Room, I feel free & Let it Rain. In the seventies a Clapton staple was Further on up the road, nice version with Robbie at Last Waltz. The biggest omission IMO is Badge. The classic Cream version or the
added verse of 1996 Hyde Park Eric Clapton - Badge (The Prince's Trust Masters Of Music 1996)

Well, I was mainly focusing on songs that I haven't heard live in person that often.

sleepy time time

I’ll go for a bit of a shorter night, just to force myself to make some tough choices:
1. Pretending. Great opener from a great album.
2. It’s In The Way That You Use It. Let’s stay in that general era. Fun song. Crowd pleaser.
3. Layla. Keep ‘em fired up right off the bat. Build the energy. It stays.
4. Bell Bottom Blues. Gotta stay Layla album here, and time to bring it back a notch. Plus. I love this long.
5. Anyday. It’s the Layla album miniset.
6. Key to the Highway. While playing Layla songs, do this and transition to some blues.
7. It Hurts Me Too. Get him on some slide.
8. Sitting on Top of the World. Transitions smoothly right into this one.
9. Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright. First of two contemporary covers that I think he just CRUSHES. Can’t have a dream show without them.
10. Voodoo Chile. The long bluesy one. Second of the two contemporary covers.
After lighting their faces on fire. An acoustic set.
11. Come On In My Kitchen. Love this from the RJ album.
12. Walkin’ Blues. Love this acoustic from him.
13. White Room. Because it’s a fantasy list and why the funk not?!?!
14. Mean Old World. Of course.
Electric.
15. Motherless Children. Thought this was a great album opener. So let’s open a set with it.
16. Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad? Another all timer and I just need it in there.
17. Wonderful Tonight. I do actually like this song. Think 24 Nights. And you’re letting the crowd know it’s getting close to the end. But you’re NOT ending the set on that.
18. Had to Cry. Yeah, we’re ending with some killer Blind Faith.
19. Well All Right. Ditto. It’s my concert I do what I want.
Encore.
20. Tales of Brace Ulysses. My favorite drum song. My favorite wah song. So it’s got to be in.
21. Keep on Growing. Let’s jam and go home with smiles on our faces.
22. Somewhere over the rainbow. 😉
