About 1971 I saw Lockjaw Davis in a club in DC and I still remember what a flawless and masterful Sax player Lockjaw was.Â
If any JAZZ fans want to check this out here are Lockjaw and Sweets in Europe in 1978.Â
And those big collar leasire suites were fantastic. I had several.Â

My most precious Lockjaw moment is his evoking Herschel Evans for Basie for old times sake in this great song.

@tenorsfan The drummer in the Basie band in the 1960's was real fine too. I think his name is Sonny Payne but you're right about Lockjaw on this track.
