Tour is going to last several years.

We saw them in 2014 at the Syracuse BluesFest.

I'm one of the festival photographers now.

Shot the Warren Haynes Band at this year's fest.

Feat last year, Blood Brothers, Samantha Fish, and Buddy Guy in 2023.

IMO, the saving grace for this version of Little Feat is that Scott Sharrard is now their guitar player.  Everything is better when Scott is involved!

I am inclined to agree. I wasn't sure how they would be able to continue after the death of guitarist, songwriter and vocalist Paul Barrere (and I am sure longtime fans felt the same way regarding Lowell George in 1988 when Let it Roll came out and some probably still do), but Scott is a great guitarist and plays well with Fred Tackett and vocally he is pretty darned close to Lowell George, so it was nice to see the return of songs like Long Distance Love and Trouble popping back up in the setlist.

@jack_frost I like Scott too. He was great in Gregg's band. And I like Scott in Little Feat.

But for me and I'm almost 79 years old and saw the original  versions of Little Feat and the Allman Brothers, the original versions of both bands is the best.

Both bands sound, as expected, a little different with later lineups and it's not exactly what I fell in love with as a young man.

Lowell and Paul together can't be topped to me and neither can Duane, Dickey and Berry.

But I'll take what I can get so I'll see Little Feat with Scott and know it's going to be a professional show.

I want to say that their current drummer Tony Leone is great too. I believe he was Levon Helm's understudy, and it for sure shows. Great drummer, good vocalist as well

@robslob Yes I imagine I'm getting redundant about the original ABB lineup being the best of all their lineups.

And according to what I've read virtually everyone who is an ABB fan also have polled the original lineup is the best. I'm sure you do too @robslob

I'm sure At Fillmore East and Eat A Peach are your favorite ABB albums! Right?;

Absolutely shocking to read this.....

@oldcoot Yes Old Coot perhaps that is redundant on my part. And I recently read 84 percent of people who like the Allman Brothers Band find the original lineup to have been the best and most exciting of all the lineups.

And that At Fillmore East and Eat A Peach are their favorite Allman Brothers Band albums.

I would imagine the ORIGINAL BAND is your favorite of the various lineups calling themselves the Allman Brothers Band. Right?;

Huge Little Feat fan here. The band died with Lowell's passing; had some nice moments with Craig Fuller out front singing and playing slide. When Craig left and the vocals fell to Paul with Fred Tackett playing more leads they became a shell of their former shell...

I listened to Feat - Waiting for Columbus on vinyl seems nonstop in 80-81 during college. I respect  V & Robert's opinion the original bands were best. I saw Feat with Scott couple years ago and band was outstanding as was The Brothers April 2025 at MSG.

@vtab I agree the original Little Feat is also, like the original Allman Brothers, the best of the various lineups.

With that said ( for the 1,000th time:) please no one get the impression I think later lineups of those bands could barely play. Not at all.

I've seen Feat with Scott and I was at the Brothers show ( lucky I didn't catch COVID) and the musicians were excellent in both bands.

At the Brothers show there was no Gregg, Duane, Dickey, Butch, Berry but Derek, Warren, Chuck, Jaimoe, Reece and the others were playing for the band members absent as much as for the fans and it was a wonderful concert.

Warren Haynes recently said when he thinks of the Allman Brothers Band he thinks about the original band. Then he added that the 90's lineup and the last lineup, both of which had Warren as a player, honored and protected the great legacy of the original band.

I agree with Warren.

Here is a fine Blue Sky from the early 90's lineup.

Has anyone seen both the ABB & Feat on the same bill? I wanna say I might have, many moons ago but it could have been Hot Tuna opening for the ABB.

@vtab

I’d agree with that. I won’t call them a cover band (and neither did you), because that carries unfair connotations. They’re great musicians playing great music, but they’re not really Little Feat. By the same token, have the right mindset going into a show, and it’s still listening to songs I really like by people who play them well.

If that makes any sense . . .

@lee Lee I saw Little Feat and ABB on the same bill five times in 1991.

I think they did the 1991 summer tour together.

Looking forward to seeing Scott and Junior Mack together at the annual Midnight Rider tribute at Levon's barn in Woodstock.  This show is curated by Jay Collins, Gregg's music director and sax player.  This will be my third year...front row, always a fun time in a great venue.

The key is the music right! If you go see Feat or the Brothers, your going to see a great show. Rumor mill has the Brothers playing MSG

again in April. TTB just extended their March Beacon run so something to keep an eye on.  2026 going to be a good year with tickets to

Santana in St Augustine & Rush in Montreal.
