Had only been back in school a couple of weeks when we heard the news about Bonzo. Not a lot of studying was done that day by myself and friends who were Zep fans.

One of those "where were you when..." moments. My friends and I were psyched because the powers that be were finally going to allow Led Zep to play in Boston again after the ticket riots years earlier. Then we heard the news on the radio driving home from HS that day.

I appreciate the timing of how he played things. To a lot of people, it sounded simple and easy.

First it was Bonham and a few months later Bon passed. It sucked. Two very unique and distinctive performers.
