I am sharing this because I am 62 years old and I know there are some here who are that age or older. My cousin has been up here all weekend and he turned me on to this: If you are 62 years of age or older you can buy a LIFETIME Federal Parks Senior pass for $10. <>. There is a $10 processing fee so it will cost you $20. You can print out the form from this link, send a copy of your Driver's License or other legal proof of your age, and mail in the form. You will never have to pay to enter a Federal Park for the rest of your life.

I purchased my pass in early July @ my local BLM office, as a result there was no additional processing fee, just $10.00. for the pass. But I say $20.00 is still an excellent bargain.

Got mine on Father's Day 2016. Paid $10, no fee. Sold it at the gate to Ft. Pulaski in Savannah.

this is the best deal around if you qualify (I do not).

I live about an hour from Shenandoah and always get an annual pass.

For comparison Shenandoah National Park is $50 for an annual pass or $25 for a 7 day pass. So if you only go to one park once, you've still saved a least $15 this year, and the rest of your years are free.
