I think ABB will play together again

As I said in another thread, why even try to top that final show? It would be a losing endeavor. Let that stand as the Last Testament of the ABB and call it a career.
And for one final time, I'll agree with Rob.

It's over.

They all have things to do and even Butch would be in demand by others if he wished to do so. Just like the original 6, this band of 7 IMO cannot be replicated. I really don't care who you put in there. Derek and Warren have had 15 years to develop as a team in this band and while the early shows were good, the last few years have really proven what a powerful duo they are. Not sure how interested I would be in another version other than Dickey and Chuck coming back for some retro shows. I was there on the weekend and even then the intensity of the playing, the interplay, the comfort they all had and even chatting with Warren at dinner Sat night made me think that this was the end. Lets just say its a good thing it happened not a sad thing its over!!

I expect some sit-ins and hopefully, some more Allman tunes in the rotations of the other existing bands. If they all share the stage again (in any incarnation), I get the feeling it will be for the Xmas Jam or some other benefit. Having said that, I'm not holding my breath.
I'm at peace with this being the end (regardless of how well they played). Still makes me sad, but I'd rather this happen than more missed shows, drama, etc.

I don't - but whatever happens happens. Whatever they do from here on in is gravy, and really that's been true for years at this point. Despite all the bumps in the road that don't need to be rehashed yet again, they've been making incredible music for a long time and taken for where they are and what they are, I think you have to agree they gave us a worthy sendoff.
