There isn't any footage I could find of Berry Oakley playing a bass solo I could find.
He was the best bass player ever in the Allman Brothers Band. All the original members said that. Berry unique approach playing outside the normal parameters of a bass player, at times like a lead guitar player, according to Gregg, Dickey, Butch and Jaimoe, was a HUGE part of the UNIQUE sound the Allman Brothers had from the beginning.
Now in a 2009 interview Butch Trucks said Otiel was the best musician ever in the Allman Brothers* and he and Otiel listened carefully to old tapes of the band and Otiel said himself that the way Oakley played was a big part of the Allman Brothers sound.
* I've decided not to take anything Butch said too seriously after about 2000 AD.
Here is Berry but not a bass solo. Couldn't find one.
Here is some righteous guitar playing with a row of pedals 10 feet long and a smoky, space station tone!!
Fender Princeton Reverb compared with a Deluxe Reverb
Did anyone know Motley Crue fakes their live shows. They only pretend to play and sing. The music is on tape. Madonna was doing that but when someone told she didn't deny it and said she can't dance that hard and sing too. Too out of breath.

Isiah Mitchell tells guitar world he has played Les Pauls and Teles but he gets more out of a Strat and a stack of Marshals than anything he has tried.
Here he is with Mark Ford, Harold Dodge and Larry Buick.
I think the song is better with Eric Clapton playing guitar!!

Blackberry Smoke rig rundown

Some classic guitars on the Blackberry Smoke rig rundown.
They had two of these at the big music store here last night and the guitar is getting a lot of positive buzz. It's a brand new design based on the long time famous session player Michael Landau and how he modified his Stratocasters.
This new guitar is called the Fender Michael Landau Coma Stratocaster.
It has new noiseless single coils in the middle and neck position with a FIVE way switch. In the bridge position is a Fender Humbucker. It has a lock in whammy, stays in tune and the guys at the store are excited at all the tones you have a your fingertips. A fast well made neck and it's a great solid stays in tune instrument that is modified at the factory and ready to go.
The demo man here plays a beautiful passage from LAYLA at 8:45 in.

New ERIC CLAPTON interview!!
@bill_graham Joe with a down and dirty LP tone. I like it. Not typical of a hot Paul.

This guy hates Gibson but he is funny IMHO
@bill_graham He is funny. Yes Gibson just settled a law suite with Dean. I think they did.
I love my SG. It's my number one.
A cool cat who is an Elmore James fan checking out the Allman Brothers version of "I Must Have DID Someone Wrong. "
There is an audience tape I've heard and Duane Allman said " Elmore James was a pretty good side player. He didn't get to see me" /p>
Elmore James died in 1963 at age 45! He didn't get to see Duane Allman. And Duane died in 1971 at age 24. Lot of players here in 2023 didn't get to see either man.
Duane in 1970. This is still on You Tube so let's look again. Elmore would say " That skinny white boy got it going on man!! Yesser!!"
One of the rarest Gibson Les Paul's ever made.
A rare factory 1959 black Les Paul Standard. Not a Custom!
https://www.guitarworld.com/news/kirk-hammett-factory-black-1959-les-paul-standard
Joe Bonamassa has one that was going to be a 1959 burst that the factory painted over black for a special order and gave it a 1960 serial number
@bill_graham I always liked the looks of the black Les Paul. They are usually standards aren't they?
I use to hear in the 1970s the black Standard didn't sound as good and was built as well as the Custom with a sunburst or flame top body.
But this guitar is actually a custom disguised as a standard. Right?
My understanding is Customs are not considered Standards as they are unique Les Paul's.
They were the most expensive Les Paul's and the top of the line back in the 1950's.
Also the 1950's Custom's body was all Mahogany and did not have a maple top like a regular standard. I never played one but have read a 1950's Custom had a darker tone as the maple top of the Standard added some brightness to the tone.
The Custom also has an ebony fingerboard while the Standard is rosewood.
Doing some research I have read post 1968 Customs have a maple top now but back in the 1950's they evidently didn't.

This 1968 reissue explains Gibson added a maple top to their Custom's starting in 1968
