The San Francisco 49ers are playing the LA Rams in Australia this coming Thursday, 9/10.  The game is exclusively on Netflix.  This irks me to NO end.  I'm a 49ers fan, and grew up a Rams fan, living in L.A. until I was 30.  So obviously this is a HUGE prime time matchup for someone like me who lived in California his entire life until 4-1/2 years ago.  

I will not be watching Thursday.  I do not have Netflix, and I am not going to go to a bar to watch the game, because that would still be supporting Netflix by patronizing a bar which carries Netflix.  My beef is not with Netflix specifically.  It's with the NFL for putting this huge game, the season opener for both teams, on Netflix exclusively.  I am already paying $197.70/month for my Direct TV package.  I'm paying an additional $16.23/month for my Amazon Prime subscription.  I have Amazon because for the last several years, the Thursday night games have only been on Amazon.  But not THIS one.  Do the math, $197.70 + $16.23 =$213.93/month to watch TV.  

If that's not enough, then I am giving the swift middle finger to the NFL and choosing not to watch this Thursday.  Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys is making $60 Million/year now.  I won't go over what these other NFL stars are making.  How can the NFL pay those salaries unless they continue to gouge us?  I hope some here will join my in my NFL boycott this Thursday, 9/10.
