Note: On Dimples the person(s) who put together the photographs have Duane and Dickey incorrectly switched. Dickey doesn't solo until 3:32 in.

I can only imagine the music he'd be producing today. I'm just grateful for the music he left us. RIP Duane. Loved forever!!!!!

Great guitar player. I am fortunate to have seen the original band twice. Good memories.

His DOD sandwiched in between my grandmother (10/27) and my grandfather (10/30). Dates with meanings.

Missed Duane by 2 years.

Inventor

Instigator

Leader

Skydog

Shaman

Because of his music I submit that Duane Allman can never die.

@aiq Yes remember Duane Allman.

If it hadn't been for Duane's energy, drive and determination Gregg probably would have been a dentist.

And it's possible and perhaps likely we would have not ever heard of Dickey, Berry, Butch and Jaimoe.

Perhaps Derek Trucks too. Or Derek would sound different because Fillmore East, Eat A Peach and the Layla album are what Derek soaked up during his formative years.

The song Layla would sound different. As well as Loan Me A Dime by Box Scaggs. And Wilson Pickett's Hey Jude. Pickett wouldn't have recorded Hey Jude if Duane hadn't been there. Duane convinced him to cover it.

Just 24 years old but man did Duane get a lot accomplished.
