So I left Chicago to drive to our house in Fort Myers Fl in late October. As i am approaching High Falls Park in Georgia my thoughts turn to Dickie and of course Duane. Then it strikes me --its Oct 29 and i am about to drive right past Macon. On the highway there is a sign that says "Watch out for motorcycles. You may save a life." It is dusk, maybe an hour after the time Duane took that last ride.

On the way back I decided i had to drive past both Duane's and berry's crash sites to pay my respects. Of course there is nothing at either site that would let anyone know what happened.

The music that most touched my life all evaporated so innocuously in a flash. I still cant get over it 43 years later
