Special Guests?

I'm going to the 21st and 22nd shows, and haven't heard any news about any special guests. Just wondering if anyone has any info. I know there was rumors about Clapton or Dickey back in March, which would have been awesome. At least they should Jam out a nice 4 hour set each night. I've been going to the Beacon every year since 98. Some years for multiple shows and some for at least one. It's been a long wait since I purchased my tickets last January, but I know the brothers will make the wait worth it, as they almost never disappoint.

Van Morrison.

the ONLY guest I want to see and hear is DICKEY

Four hours each night? I doubt that - with the extra ticket price for the last two shows those will be the ones going past the Midnight union curfew is my guess.
And IMHO Dickey won't be there

i wouldnt get hopes up for a show that is longer than "normal".....
and for dickey as well....

You're probably right about the last 2 shows being the ones that go longer than midnight. I was just hoping that the 22nd show might since it is the make up for the true anniversary date. Also Van Morrison would be sweet, but I don't see that happening. Seems like they may just keep it in the family for this final run, or just the juke horns to help play some covers.

Wouldn't you rather be surprised at the guests? I would.
Nevertheless....
Since Col Bruce is in town for a midnight show, I put him at a near certainty.
Juke Horns are also very likely, as usual.
Junior Mack, very probable since Jaimoe's Jassz Band plays the other midnight show.
Tommy Talton plays the HTN party Sat, and is also very probable.
Bill Evans, the ABB's fifth Beatle (eighth, whatever), fits this band so well that I can't foresee him not appearing.
Even odds for each of prior members Chuck Leavell, Jack Pearson and Jimmy Herring.
Also, even odds or better for Devon Allman, Duane Trucks, Jimmy Hall and Susan Tedeschi.
Half percent chance of Mr Betts, but I'll be rooting for it!

Bill Evans will be in the Netherlands 10/26; so maybe he'll show on 10/22 just for me

Chuck will probably be in Australia with the Stones. So I'd say long shot there. Still, you never know.

We'll see. It's strange how for the 40th anniversary run the guests were known before the shows which made the EC shows go through the roof price wise. Then again the hoopla of the "last shows" has these tickets way through the roof already.

Gondicar somehow got that list and posted it here. With all the cancellations and Warren seemingly having quit the band cause he's had it I doubt the guest list will be extensive. It was pretty slim in March

I think this post is on target.
While I would be over the moon if Dickey showed I don't know why he would put himself through it and think he will not come.
That being said, I am totally PSYCHED that I will see Col. Bruce at the after party and am hoping for his vocals on Lovellight with the boys.
My special guest wish would be Bob Margolin, John Popper , Duane Betts and that terrific trumpet player we have seen in the past who has done long solos. Not sure but is he in TTB now?
See ya all at the shows!

Hi Joel - I will be at the Beacon on the 21st - will I see you? Been too long -hope all is well. I will also be going to both Mule shows in December!!

Jeff Beck -"Dreams"
Bonnie Raitt - Guitar on "Done somebody wrong"
Billy Payne - Piano on "Jessica"
Chris Thille - Mandolin on "Blue Sky"

Me and two friends will also be there for the Beacon shows on the 21st and 22nd. If the shows don't run late, anyone know of other music happening afterwards nearby? Or where ABB fans might be gathering before and/or after the shows?
