Alright you lucky ba$tard$ in the house, anyone have a setlist? Are the Bros bringing it hard again as I expect on a Saturday night at the Beacon? Thanks!

Alan Paul's Facebook page says Don't Keep Me Wondering to start.

He just posted this at 8:45.

If that's in real time, they took the stage late.

Stormy Monday

In my opinion, the show from last night continued, and then got even more intense! These shows now, are not for the casual fan Smile

Very much a continuation of Friday nights show in that between the two nights most of live From Fillmore East was done offhand. Major tributes tonight including Polititiin and Into The Mystic. And my guess is we'll see a whipping Post again though. Hopefully at 2 AM Wednesday morning.

Great show. Lots of Gregg and he was sounding good. Jessica was off the charts. What I found a little odd was Gregg walking off at the very beginning of liz reed and returning at the very end in time to say Thank you good night. As the band left the stage Warren and derrick appeared to have an animated discussion and when the band returned they all had a meeting in back of the b3. Did anyone else notice any of this and have any thoughts. Although the band was tight, I just got the vibe that they were happy it was coming to an end

I wasn't there but in looking at the set lists, particularly the fact that they played Jessica and Liz Reed in the same set, I'd guess they were trying to compensate on the fly for Gregg not feeling well. Sadly, I think it's very clear now that Gregg is in a very fragile state.

I don't know, but I don't think they are " happy" it's coming to an end but I do think this is another example of WHY it HAS TO come to an end.

I missed Gregg's solo during Liz Reed, that was sort of odd, I hope he was just tired, not feeling sick. The show last night was truly wonderful. Derek didn't let up for a minute and when he and Warren were playing off each other, it was magic. They seemed pretty happy, also. I just adore this band, so glad I've gone to as many shows as possible throughout the years.

It was a beast of a show. The band nailed it. Gregg seemed a little off - he sang great but came in early on "Stormy Monday" and "Gilded Splinters" and then left the stage during "Liz Reed". The absence of his organ was felt during "Liz Reed" and a reminder that he's not just the band's singer, but the band still rose to the occasion for a great performance.

I know some people aren't a fan of the Van Morrison covers, but Warren's introduction of "Into the Mystic" (and the only real stage banter to the audience) should cement the importance of the song - it was Bill Graham's favorite song being performed by Bill Graham's favorite band, and Saturday's was probably the best version I've heard them do. "The Politician" was a great surprise for Jack Bruce (David Stoltz played a bass Bruce gave to him later in the night at Jaimoe's midnight show).

"Duck 'Til Dawn" is still a bit of a sleeper song for me, it hasn't caught my ear yet.

Anyways, and fantastic night of music and can't wait for Tuesday!

It was the best mystic. Last night's show was all about that bass. And percussion. Nice.

It consistently amazes me that Gregg does as well as he does given that he has been so seriously ill and with failing health for the past few years. He's had some seriously major surgery and illness. If he had the good sense to walk away from the Hammond rather than pass out on stage, so be it. I have every emotion I could have about them stopping buut. It's gotta end sometime.

Let them go out with guns blazing, nobody could have predicted they'd be playing such good music in 2014.

I think if, in the end, we were hoping for more, that's the best you can say.

It should also be noted that Bill Graham died October 25th, 1991.

We noticed the same thing and thought he was done for the night. We were actually worried that it was something serious and that the show was going to end without an encore. Then they play that awesome version of Come On In My Kitchen followed by One Way Out. It was very strange. Don't understand why he left during Liz Reed.

At his age, he probably had to take a piss, being near the end of a long set.

Just to clarify- I'd say he was gone for about 20 minutes. He sat out Liz Reed from the beginning through Derek's solo, a short solo from Warren into a full Politician, and the drum solo. I was starting to think he was done for the night and there was a loud cheer when he came back, so I don't think I was alone in wondering about that. Maybe he did just need a breather, so to speak, since he sounded absolutely fine afterward. So who knows. It goes without saying he has to watch his own health first and foremost, and I hope he's feeling good.

Both Friday and Sat shows were epic. The sound was as best as Ive heard at the Beacon. The set lists were great both nights, someone mentioned the Fillmore which I agree was virtually all played. The band is enjoying themselves, lots of smiles and banter. I saw n o indication of any issues either night, other than Greggs girlfriend couldn't seem to find the backstage door - twice! Yup she was right beside me once in the first set and again in the second. We were 6 rows back both nights and could see all that was going on. Sat highlights, Hotlanta, Trouble no more, arguably the best version of Jessica Ive ever heard this version of the band play, just off the charts. Before the show, we ate where we always do and both Marc and Warren were there with there families and having a blast chatting to all in the place. My view, it might be ending but, they are going out happy. Gregg, from what I understand was tired as he is fighting a cold or something, nothing serious. His vocals have been very strong and he has been missing lyrics for years so thats nothing new. For those going monday and Tuesday, relish it and be thankful that this band happened at all as opposed to being upset its over. Cheers

By the way Gregg did not sit out all of Liz Reed, he left in the middle of Derek's solo about 7 mins in. Was absent for Warrens solo, the drum solo and Politician and was back to close the tune. Thats what I saw anyway.....

gregg also played a couple of killer solos on the organ, which i have not seen in years. they do look like they are genuinely enjoying being there. it's so obvious that the guitar players are feeling the the end of their company on the same stage. friday and saturday nights were the best shows i have seen in years and back to back great nights. i think monday and tuesday will raise the level. they are definitely going out on top with the quality of these shows..35 years for me, my brain changed the first time i saw them in lennox mass. august of 1979, i have not been the same since..LONG LIVE THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND.

I watched him walk off sooner, before any solos and before the melody I believe. I recall it was at some point during the intro swells, but I did notice someone place a box of tissues on his Hammond at the begin in of the show, so who can blame him for sitting Liz Reed out. Got to k ow when to sit your veterans. Still didn't detract at all from a stellar show.
