Thanks for the updates, Rowland.
I was kind of wondering though...how the heck does someone really take in a show...and hang out on a web site at the same time?
I'm old... 😉

I'm sitting in Penn Station spent, scorched, and shattered.

I am so glad I made it.

Tonight's show gave me far more closure than I imagined.

To those who I met tonight... It was an honor to share in this night with so many wonderful souls. You are all part of the serenade. Keep sharing the song.

A DAMNED PLEASURE, SIR!

I am speechless. It hasn't really set in what I just witnessed. I was at Saturday's show, and it was phenomenal. Tonight's show was on such another level, it's almost unfair. I can't believe I was witness to it. I heard all of the rumors of playing well into 10.29 and 3 sets, etc, but tonight's show was epic and then some. I went to 3 shows during the 2009 run, been to plenty of other great shows, and none of it compares to tonight. Nothing I have ever seen compares to tonight - no hyperbole. I hope everyone gets a chance to hear tonight's show, start to finish, because it really was one for the ages. This isn't a sentimental band, they just played everything, like it was their last show...

(and for all of my friends who couldn't get in, I nearly smacked the guy in front of me in the back of the head for falling asleep half way through - although most of the crowd was on their feet, start to finish)

They left everything on the field tonight
Well worth the 6-1/2 hour wait on the same day line to get in
Thank you to all that were in attendance tonight, for providing the energy that ABB needed to deliver their goodbye sets.
And so now it is enscribed in the annuls, and returns to the light from which it came

Big thanks Lana and Roland for keeping the committee going. It was a pleasure to meet you both.

Goodnight all.

What an epic show...three sets ending on 10/29 celebrating brother Duane.
Thanks to the band for 45 fantastic years, thanks to Lana and Rowland for the great work. The Road Goes On Forever with Gov't Mule, G.Allman Band, Tedeschi-Trucks Band and perhaps some one off reunions in the future.
With love from Italy
Paolo

Thanks for that Rowland and Lana, and thanks for making HTW ABB a great place to be for all these years

I'm sat here in the works canteen reading all the pages on this thread with a tear in my eye. Sounds like an incredible unforgettable magical moment in the life of the ALLMAN BROTHER'S BAND. Thanks brother Duane for believing you could get your vision onto vinyl. Thanks for to all previous members and line ups. Don't know how I am going to get through the rest of my shift.

Wow. I'll be 58 years old on November 20, and I have to work to remember the time when this band was not a huge part of my life. Sitting here this morning I am overwhelmed with a sense of joy, of symmetry, of completeness, of gratitude, and I wasn't even at the show. This is the way you do it, this is the way these guys have always done it; step up and deliver, not in a safe neat little package, but all the way over the edge, balls to the wall, leave everything you have out there, hold nothing back. Thanks for everything to the band in all it's incarnations, to Lana and Rowland, and to all the extended family and posters here. Thanks Duane. They did you proud.

I fell Monday's show was one of the best I have ever seen. Last night is a category unto itself and could not have been any better. I am still smiling and will be for a long, long time. Thank you to this band and this community for being such a happy and enjoyable part of my life!

Amen......It has been a great run for the fans, for the band for this community. The phrase they went out on top does not do justice to what was witnesses by the audience last night. I was lucky enough to see the 10/21 and 10/27 shows. They were both fantastic in different ways. I felt like I could feel the vibe last night following the show through this vine. This band of brothers does not just play their instruments. they use then as conduits to transmit their hearts and souls through the speakers to the audience. Most of the audience soaks up this gift with the reverence and joy it deserves. It is with joy and passion that we celebrate this music, this extraordinary connection with the band that we love so strongly. The last note at the Beacon has been played. There will be a hole in my calendar and my life come March. Something that I love is no more.....................

I assume we won't hear from anyone who lived through last night for awhile today, but can someone eventually post a full review? So many songs, but was 5 hours right? So I am waiting for the broadcast, but sounds like they played full length versions of everything too? Wow. Omg. ABB.

It's really not going to hit me until next March rolls around and the Beacon becomes eerily silent.

Thank you Gregg, Warren, Derek, Butch, Jaimoe, Otiel and Marc - and of course Duane, Dickey, Berry and Allen - and Chuck too! What a great 45 years :):):)

I am fortunate to live within walking distance from the Beacon and have attended many Allman Brothers shows there (including the 40th anniversary show and a bunch of others in 2009) and this is the best. They really played with an intensity and passion last night and, of course, what a setlist! As others have said - truly epic

What a set list. What a concert. They were ON FIRE last night. With the exception of the Eric Clapton ABB shows I caught during the 40th Anniversary run this was probably the best ABB concert I've ever seen. What a way to end it all. I cannot wait to here the CDs. Waiting on line for tickets built up the anticipation to such a high level. When I finally got waived up to the ticket window just before 9pm I let out a scream that had heads turning and the NYPD scurrying. When they realized it was just me being excited about getting a last minute ticket it was all smiles. There were so many great people I met not just last night but during the whole run of shows. I went Wednesday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday and every night I met people who travelled long distances to experience the ABB one last time. Sometimes those closest to us fail to understand why music is such an important and integral part of our lives. It is awesome to meet and spend time with people who are as passionate about the music as I am. It will be very strange not having the ABB at the Beacon in March. Their extended run at this venue did make it seem like the road goes on forever. Last nights show was a performance they can be proud of. I'm glad to say that one of my favorite bands went out with a BANG and not a whimper.
