Oct. 27 show vibe?

Just wondering what everyone thinks about the show on the 27th - second to last night. Do you think the band is going to lay back a little due to the fact it is a Monday night and they are keeping gas in the tank for the 28th? Maybe a little mellower set list? I have to decide between this date or paying the extra dough for a worse seat at the Saturday show. I've never been to a weeknight show at the Beacon...

I have only been to weeknight shows. Mostly Tuesdays. The Jukes Horns show up during the week a lot. Seeing the ABB doing the Night They Drove Ol Dixie Down with the horns is a real treat. They add a great accent to whatever the band is playing while they are on stage. There has always been a great vibe at the weeknight shows I have attended. I will be there on the 27th eagerly waiting for my musical present to be unwrapped. There is going to be something special in that box I just know it. This is the end of an era. There are no wrong choices.

That was a decision I made during the presale. I figured I would have better luck getting seats on the second to last night than the last night. I was also concerned about Gregg's ability to make it to the end without being totally exhausted or worse. I have never been to a weeknight show before. I am looking at it like James above. There are a couple of things that could happen which would be great for me. They are
1) Bill Evans as guest
2) Oteil sings Franklins Tower
3) Warren nails vocals on The Sky is Crying (I've got a bad, bad, bad, bad feelin).
4) A very clean Little Martha/Blue Sky with Warren handling ALL vocals
5) Gregg with strong vocals on Ain't Wastin Time No More and Stormy Monday and an inspired Derek shreds both songs into the history books.
And if they don't I'll be just as happy because as James says "there is going to be something special in that box I just know it".

You are going to have a great show! The ABB always rewards weekday audiences and this will be a great show, don't worry.
As for hopes of what we want to hear at these final shows, my dream would be to hear Desdemona one more time, second to Ain't wasting' Time No More. Oh, to hear Desdemona...

Final song on 10/28? Whipping F'g Post! (I'm "lucky" enough to be doing the last five) who will party with me?

I would put my money on Whipping Post, Will the Circle Be Unbroken, Little Martha to close it out.

TOTALLY agree Bob My money is on Statesboro as the opener.....
