Beacon Whining

fNot though any fault of ABB performances over the next two shows,
If the restaurants (venue) decor is beautiful, and the staff (hostess/ticket taker - waiter/usher) do their job great but the food (band) sucks, I'm taking my issue to the performer(chef).

People - including myself - forget that the first few shows of any past tour often are like they were. Perhaps we just expected them to be firing on all cylinders right off the bat. The summer festival shows imho never did compare to the length abd breadth of the three week beacon runs of the past. They are what they are - this is all we have and I've seen two killer shows. Not that my expectations aren't two more killer shows

From a poster in another thread...
"Alan Paul was saying via facebook that this was the best show so far. I thought Wednesday’s was a bit better. To each their own, I guess."
Interesting. One person thought a particular show was "epic", and another didn't. Imagine that....
How can that be if they're all epic?! 😮

Personally, I'd take any ABB Beacon performance, stellar or not so great, over sitting here in Virginia wishing I was in NYC.

I agree with the previous comment about Blue Plate Specials. I suspect tonight and tomorrow night's show to be outstanding in their own right in ways that perhaps go beyond what words are able to convey.
Fan from 71....again, and with all due respect the continued use of the restaurant analogy misses the mark entirely. If it were me I'd you have you escorted out of the Restaurant. Sorry the food didn't meet your expectations, but the rest of the diners seem to be having a grand time of it. You can't equate the price of admission as a valid platform for critique with respect to any art form. Who would do that, I ask you ? Who ? A sense of entitlement is not a valid baisis for criticism. It's wrong on any level. What, you expect Gregg to come down to your seat and ask you how your meal was ? You're kidding right ?.
