Went to see Hard Working Americans last night. Great show. Todd Snider is an odd dude, but he really fronts that band well. Dave Schools and Duane Trucks hold the bottom down nicely. Dave Schools is one of the best bass players out there. Neil Casal plays real smooth and tasty guitar. Jesse Aycock adds nice touches on lap steel and guitar, and Chad Staehly (sp?) does as well on keys. Overall, great band and great show.
They came on at a little after nine, took about a five minute break and were coming back on for an encore at midnight. Much to my buddy's displeasure, I insisted we leave before the encore as I had an hour drive to get home and to bed, which I did around 1:00am. The first set was new material and then the second set was off of their first album.
I'm dragging a little today.
Hope everyone is surviving their Monday!
It was a busy, concert free weekend for me.
I've been working on the basement and bar this weekend. The man cave hasn't been the same since the waterproofers had to tear out some of the walls in January. My father-in-law did some drywall for a a few weeks back, and he helped me re-frame my bar and put some cabinets in.Slowly but surely, things are coming back together, better than it was before. With a friend, we plumbed in a sink Saturday, and I got about half way through a wainscoting project.
Hoping to have everything done by the end of October, but there is still plenty to do!

Glad you enjoyed the show.

Good morning, Buckeye fans!
Good morning!
Good afternoon
It is going to be a long day at work. I'm ready for more vacation time
Back from Central Illinois. Went to celebrate my dad's 88th birthday, play a couple rounds of golf, and see the Blackberry Smoke/Govt Mule show. Wott a great show. Outdoor venue on the river, beautiful night, and the Mule played a lot of songs they usually don't play (and no Soulshine!)......
Great seeing Julie and her friend Krissy there, and Poco.... big treat was running into Rev Tim - haven't seen or heard from him in many years.....
Both of our wives like to tell people how we ran into each other while standing in line at the Rock n Roll HOF..... you know, my "cult" friends.......... LOL
